Migliore Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH FAMILY.

We stayed here for 4 days as a family of four, and this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. When we returned to our room one evening, there was water leaking from the ceiling onto the carpet. Instead of treating this like the serious issue it was, management handled it with complete indifference and incompetence.

The front desk initially seemed helpful and sent someone to inspect the room, but that employee simply took pictures and left without saying anything. We then waited for two more maintenance workers to come “fix” the ceiling while our carpet remained wet and the room smelled damp. No urgency, no apology, no communication.

The manager eventually came to speak with us and repeatedly claimed he had “no solutions.” First he said he was the highest manager available, then suddenly said he could “check with another branch manager” after we pushed back. We requested compensation for the disruption, first a full refund, then even a partial refund, and were met with a cold, dismissive attitude. The ONLY thing offered was a late checkout, despite us already explaining multiple times that we had an early airport departure and could not use it.

This was not even the first issue during our stay. The room had already been uncomfortably hot and stuffy for days, and we were told the temperature could not be adjusted because the entire building was controlled by central air. Apparently guest comfort is not a priority here.

What is most shocking is not even the leak itself, it was the hotel’s complete lack of accountability, urgency, professionalism, or basic hospitality afterward. This disaster completely ruined the end of our nearly 3-week trip through South Korea and Japan.

We have traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, Asia and have NEVER encountered such poor management or such an unacceptable response to a major room issue. Save yourself the frustration and stay literally anywhere else.

A 4-star hotel that deserves to be 2-star instead.
Room's thermostat is decorative only, you can change the fan speeds, but nothing actually takes effect. You can try adjusting the temperature, but nothing changes.

The shower's water pressure is dismal already, but it drops even further when neighbouring rooms are also using their showers.

The bathtubs have stains, and the hotel room doors don't close properly.

Even Busan's and Gyeongju's have better hotels.

Location is sort of at the edge of the busy Myeongdong area, so it's pretty lively and lots of things to do as soon as you step out. Rooms are a decent size and clean. However.. be wary that the room temperature is set at 27 celcius, and feels quite hot when you want to sleep. They ask you to open the windows (but it will be kind of noisy because it is busy outside) and to get a fan to supplement.

The hotel is in a prime spot in Myeongdong, with Olive Young conveniently located on the first floor — a dream location for shoppers.

🌯There are CU convenience stores and plenty of street food nearby, making it easy to find food and daily essentials at any time.

🏨The hotel also offers lockers for rental if needed, and on both check-in and check-out days, you can leave your luggage at the lobby.

Spectacular location for reasonable prices, get a room with a window. Rooms are small but well appointed for travelers' needs. Thermostat is centrally controlled so at least the windows will give you some control. Cafeteria here is all looks and no flavor. Clean facilities and responsive staff. Also, can check in earlier for nominal fee which is great if you have luggage. Also offers on site laundry and storage lockers.
