LOTTE City Hotel Myeongdong

I stayed here late May. Room was very clean, quiet and AC working perfectly. Front desk are always available and helpful with everything. I had a reservation issue and the staff was incredibly helpful and supportive (got everything resolved in 30 minutes).

This is a nice centrally located hotel with Myeongdong, Gyeongbokgung, Gwangju Market, Seoul Tower & Cheongyecheon all within walking distance. The staff is very helpful and courteous as you would expect here in Korea. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and a great shower! We didn't try the the breakfast buffet since we wanted to eat at some local eateries in the area. My tip, Les Parisiens & Burnt Seoul had great pastries and drinks.

This well-located hotel offers quick access to Seoul’s main attractions. The rooms are spotless, and the service is excellent. Keep in mind, room service runs from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm., so if you're arriving late, you’ll need to grab something from the lobby convenience store or dine out.

The service is perfect whatever i asked for they provided immediately ( i have a 3 years old child with allergy and they provided me all machines i needed to clean the air and adjust humidity of the room ) the cleaning of the room is done daily its still our third day , i will update if I notice anything. The view from the room is breathtaking i can spend the whole evening just watching from the window, but the room is small for 2 adults and one child and storage places are not enough even if it is a queen bed family room. Location is perfect with 2 main convenience stores just downstairs, also is very easy to find if you call a taxi or uber.

Construction noise: At the time of writing this review April 4th 2026, there is a large construction site directly east of the hotel. There is a constant construction noise from the generator and works. This should be stated upfront on all the website listings. You would need to be facing another direction and high floor to alleviate the noise. We are staying 11F.

Elevator lifts: there are only 3 lifts and they are not adequate during peak periods. If you can, stagger off peak to avoid. The wait can be 5 min plus and the lift may stop frequently.

Rooms: decent rooms, semi firm beds, large and small soft pillows, efficient and generally no issues.

Convenience: excellent location with convenience store on ground floor. 10 min walk to Myeongdong, very central.

Service: very polite and professional from all staff. Housekeepers very friendly and courteous. Check in very polite.
