Overall is quite good.
We arrived 12pm earlier then check in time of 3pm and they allow us to check in immediately which is good.
Rooms are generally clean though abit dated.
Locations is the best of the best. Walking distance to busstop and train stations.
Shopping and eateries are all downstairs of the hotel but what i hear myeongdong is much more expensive then other area.
Will explore more.
We stayed at a standard twin room on level 12 and the stay was better than Expected.
1. ROOM
It looked musky because it looked old in the pictures but in reality, The room was clean, fresh, and didn't have that "sad old feeling". Sheets were clean and bed was firm but comfortable. Theres one hard pillow but the rest (3 pillows) were nice. So, It's old but well maintained. The room was also spacious and had enough spaces to lay 3 large (not xl) suitcases open.
2. BATHROOM
Bathroom was clean though small and had a bathtub. I can't confirm if every standard twin has a bathtub. Automatic bidet. No blockage experienced during the stay as long as u dont throw too much toilet paper in.
3. HEATING
So there are 2 temp system in the room: a fixed Centralized temp control and a heater. Without heater, the room will follow the central temp. So if you want to make the room warmer, you have to turn on the heater by keep increasing the temp panel until it turns red. But here's the drawback: The heater doesnt regulate temperatures. it only pump heat air out continuously. So, you have to turn off the heater manually if the room gets too hot. To me it was fine because it was peak winter.
4. LOCATION
Perfect location. It's close to many restaurants, bus stops, Cathedral, underground trains, and has a seven eleven right underneath it. Also, its not directly above the crowded Myeongdong area so it's not really noisy, and yet it's located only 1 block away (3 min walk) from the crowded area.
4. GOING FROM/TO INCHEON AIRPORT
Its only a short walk (5-10 minute walk) to the nearest subway elevator, if you're planning on taking normal AREX. also, You only have to carry your suitaces down/up the stairs once. Literally once, which is when taking line number 3 from/to AREX train. The rest, you can take elevators to go between levels. Just try to find them.
5. STAFF
Overall, I've only met friendly and respectful staff. Cleaners would greet you every morning too. Staff would greet you at the loby. There's also one Indonesian speaking staff (he might leave after he's finished his degree).
6. SMOKING AREA
There's an indoor smoking area on level 12 and probably on every floor. Sometimes, the tobacco smell would enter the hall but mostly remained contained.
7. FACILITIES.
Unfortunately, it has limited facilities. FREE water Dispenser is availabe on my level, which is amazing. But No gym, pool, and even no laundry. But you can use laundry on Skypark 2 located next door. It has free Wifi in my booking that worked fine.
Definitely will stay again, if not trying other hotels.
Location is great as this is within the central area. Everything is accessible.
Room is small and not enough for luggage area. Cramped space. You'll only stay here to sleep. Great thing is their smart toilet.
They do not offer toothbrush/toothpaste. I don't know why they don't get used utensils like cups everyday. They will wait 2 days before getting used utensils. The trash also is not well taken. Like the space is limited so hopefully the trask are taken out regularly. :(
Please do not book this hotel in the wintertime.
This was incredibly expensive for a sub par hotel (at best.) We came in the wintertime. The hotel runs on central heating, so all rooms have fixed thermostats. They cannot be adjusted, and they’re set to a whopping 25-28 degrees. It’s insanely warm in the rooms and it gets hard to sleep. When other guests, myself included, had asked to lower the thermostat/shut off the heater, the front desk had just told us to open the window. Opening the window does help on nights with lots of wind, and even so, there’s a netting which prevents a lot of the cool air outside from coming in. On nights with little wind, it gets warm, stale, and stuffy in the room. Not to mention, having to open the window gives us the problem of loud noises outside, AGAIN preventing sleep—especially because this is in a central tourist area with bustling activity. On top of the inconvenient central heating, the hotel doesn’t provide basic necessities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste. Basin is tiny, tv is dated, and lights are dingy. The hand soap is literally a tiny piece of bar soap. The toilets are incredibly small, with no space to put your clothes to change into. The only redeeming quality about this place would be the cleaning service and its location. They do a good job.
Me and my friend booked this hotel last minute because of our last minute trip as well. The hotel itself is okay, room is huge enough for two of us. Amenities are Asian standard (hotel in US won’t give you amenities unless you pay for 4-5 stars price) room is clean,
we mostly spent our times outside than staying in, location is unbeatable!
Money changer in front of the hotel, 7 eleven right below the hotel saves us from our jet-lags hunger, restaurants and shops nearby.
If you like to do laundry during your trip, they have coin laundry at the B level of other hotel building beside the hotel. It’s convenient enough that we can just leave it and did our stuff and back again because we did it like at 3am so no one was there.
The only thing that could be improved probably the chairs, it will be helpful if it has a taller back rest so we don’t have to bend or probably just replace it with love-sack or couch but I guess if you’re petite you won’t have problems. We’re around 5’6- 5’7 for reference.
Not the newest hotel around but Great location around Myeongdong Shopping street. In addition, the hotel staffs are very helpful. I was having problem getting to the location my car rental company would need me to go to pick up my rental car. Mr James Hong from the concierge talk to them in Korean, requested them to come over to my hotel instead. Then James wanted to call them again as they were late. I really surprised with his professionalism and his willingness to go the extra miles for his customers!!
Kudos to you, Mr James Hong!!
