Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong

Great location! Short walk away from Myeongdong shopping street so you're close to tourist central but not in the heart of it. As a result, the hotel surroundings is much quieter. There's also a train station right outside the hotel and an airport bus stop less than 2 min walk away. Super convenient!

That said, the hotel itself is what you'd expect from a 3.5 star hotel I think. The rooms are decent sized for Asia, but there were several flies in our room (especially shower) which was not pleasant. The room temperature also could not really be adjusted so even though we visited in late fall (close to winter), the room temperature never dropped below 78 Farenheit. We resorted to cracking open the windows at night to let in the cool air, but that traded off with noise from the streets. Thankfully we are not super light sleepers else that would have been really annoying.

I do like that they have a filtered water dispenser so I can easily refill my drinking water everyday. Lastly, there are only 3 elevators that service the entire building so it can get pretty busy during peak hours.

The staff were amazing—super supportive, friendly, and always ready to help. The overall vibe of the hotel is great: clean, modern, and easy to feel comfortable in.

Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. You’ve got everything you need right around you—two convenience stores, plenty of food options, bars—and literally just a few steps to the subway (super convenient for getting around Seoul).

Only one small downside: the blinking light from the smoke detector is positioned right above the bed, and it can be a bit distracting at night.

Overall, a great stay and would definitely recommend.

This was my third stay at Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong, and overall I had another pleasant experience. The hotel continues to offer a comfortable stay with a convenient location, clean rooms, and warm hospitality from the team.

As a returning guest, however, I was a little disappointed that my repeat stays were not recognized during this visit. While it did not take away from the overall experience, a simple acknowledgment would have made the stay feel more personal and appreciated. I always choose to return because of the consistency and comfort the hotel provides, so I hope future visits can feel even more welcoming for loyal guests.

The hotel was decent. Location is great if you’re going to do many things in Myeongdong. Walking distance to shopping streets with everything one could need. Service was great as the front desk staff helped up with lots of things. My only suggestion would be that if most of your time will be spent in Gangnam district then stay there instead of using metro to go back & forth like we did on this visit. Not a knock on the hotel, but recommendation for other travelers. It’s about a 40 min metro ride one way to Gangnam so we spent a lot of time commuting.

I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights to celebrate my birthday as well as our 20th wedding anniversary, which I informed the GM Mr. Cho ahead. The hotel did nothing memorable and of note to be part of this, so it is with regret and disappointment that I look back on my stay here, as I am fairly certain other hotels would have done a better job to commemorate my wedding milestone . Breakfast at the hotel is akin to meals at the army barracks, we get reminded multiple times that service ends at 10am, and we are practically chased out of the restaurant. I understand that the hotel needs to prepare for lunch, unfortunately the hotel isn't able to find a professional and hospitable way to handle this. The lifts take forever to arrive and constantly say they are overloaded. 0/10 will stay here again, nor recommend my friends here.
