Stayed here during my first trip to South Korea. Upon arrival, the staff welcome you immediately. Everyone greets you with a smile and is very helpful. The room was spacious with soft linen. The temperature control is a bit delayed but the staff provided extra blankets daily. The shower gets very hot and you cannot beat the heated seats / bidet toilet. The amenities are nice but they fill up fast; was hard to find time for a massage that fit my schedule but I was able to find a spa offsite (Flow Spa) which was wonderful. The hotel is located within blocks of Coex Mall so very convenient to shopping and food. Our room came with breakfast which was convenient and the one day we opted for Room service, it was quick. My only annoyance is the elevator system. You have to go up to the 23rd or 24th floor to then catch another set of elevators to go down to your room floor. You get used to it, but it doesn’t make sense practically; definitely an architectural flaw. Otherwise, I would recommend staying here for sure for your visit to Seoul as it’s in a central part of Gangnam.
Location of the hotel is great, convenient and within walking and short ride distance to many shopping spots and eateries.
Room was fine, could do better with more thoughtful details like hanging racks and hooks for towels etc in the bathroom and even the inclusion of bath salts for the tub.
Did not get a great facing, no city view but it was quiet and facing the opposite of the city view which had major construction.
Park Hyatt does not feel luxurious. Service was non existent and especially the guest service and front desk who often get queries wrong. I asked about what time breakfast ended and was told it was 10am, so I did not go, only to find out it was 10.30am the next morning. Tried to get a table on 24th floor to the lounge for a quick meal and was told it was completely booked. Went up to the 24th floor since I had to go up there to change lifts and head down, and saw that there were still so many tables available. I asked about room change and facing because I had the impression that I’m facing the construction and it took 2 phone calls and clarifying before I got an affirmative answer that I’m not facing the noisy side.
Breakfast was good if you went for a buffet, but if you’re having Ala carte the menu is incredibly limited.
The cornerstone cafe is crowded and feels like a cafeteria and seating is tight.
The only service so far that’s been better with good help and initiative was the lower lobby porter and concierge. They helped with the taxi apps and also were more knowledgeable.
Overall I’m not sure if I’ll pick Park Hyatt again, as there’s much better options around
Everything was perfect. Hotel manager treated us warmly. Everyone was very kind and gave great service, doormen and restaurant staff. Signature Jjampong and the breakfast was great. The buffet steak was exceptionally tender , better than many steakhouses. They also hand slice a lot of cured meats. Attention to detail was great, would return on our next stay
I have stayed at this wonderful hotel numerous times, but realize I may not have posted a review. This is an exceptional hotel, consistent with the level of quality and service one expects from the Park Hyatt brand, but even by that standard it excels in terms of the staff and customer service. It is quite literally the best of the best in that area, and it makes a huge difference in the overall hotel experience. Although the hotel is older, it is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. It also has a feeling of quiet, understated luxury. Warm woods, beautiful art, tasteful and not gaudy or ostentatious. But most importantly the management and staff are the best one can ask for. It is a hotel you will miss when leaving, and look forward to the next stay.
I had stayed here for five days with my husband, and everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. We had planned to Uber to the airport in a van but were having trouble booking one. When we asked the front desk for assistance, she was wonderful—she even wrote everything down on a card for the driver. A van arrived within 3–4 minutes of our request. I expected there might be an extra charge for the service, but it actually cost less than booking a regular Uber. Highly recommend!
Wonderful stay in the heart of Gangnam. Hotel was comfortable, clean, and luxurious. The service was amazing. Special shoutout to Andy Kim! Andy you were awesome 😊
Would highly recommend this hotel if youre able to swing it. Great location and accommodation.
The staff training felt incomplete and the team seemed inexperienced. While this level may be acceptable in Seoul, from a global perspective the overall service still appears to be developing. I was particularly disappointed with the breakfast venue staff, whose service was closer to a three-star standard, though this may be acceptable by local Korean standards.
