I would stay here again anytime, whether for business or leisure. The Sofitel Seoul offers a wealth of amenities that are particularly beneficial for business travelers. I was impressed by the two fitness centers, the dry sauna, the hot tub, and the beautiful pool area, all of which are perfect for unwinding after a long day of meetings. Especially that you do not hear anything which offers you a great rest at night.
The rooms are exceptionally clean and well-maintained. A standout feature is the staff: they are consistently kind, accommodating, and always available to help. While the breakfast selection was very good, it is worth noting that there are also plenty of charming local cafes nearby with excellent pastries, which often suited my needs perfectly. Overall, it’s a top-tier hotel with a very professional and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience and time staying here.
I stayed for a week with my family and we throughly enjoyed everything Sofitel has offered. The pool offered great views, and also had a not too deep area where my kids can swim and walk. The staff even offered bed guards, kid sized robes and slippers, and in room humidifier/purifier. We were constantly impressed with overall friendliness and hospitality. I looked forward to coming here as my base after every outing.
I genuinely had a great time staying here and will make this my go to home away from home everytime I visit Seoul.

My stay at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences truly exceeded all expectations.

The room was luxurious and elegant, exactly what you would expect from Sofitel standards. From the moment we checked in, every staff member was incredibly attentive and caring. They even thoughtfully asked about our departure arrangements for the check-out day.

A . He kindly arranged a late check-out that matched the pick-up time of the limousine service we had booked externally.

From the very first day of our stay, the hotel had already prepared an afternoon tea set packed in a box for us because they were concerned that we might arrive and check in after the afternoon tea service hours. This level of attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed and cared for.

Since our stay coincided with my birthday, the hotel also surprised us with a birthday cake prepared in the room, which made the trip even more memorable and special.

Another unforgettable experience was at the Club Lounge during the evening cocktail service on May 19th. The main course that evening was lamb, which neither my friend nor I eat. Even though we did not request anything else, one of the male staff members immediately went back to ask the chef if another dish could be prepared for us. Shortly after, we were served a delicious tomato spaghetti instead. He also asked for our room number so the hotel could record our dietary preference that we do not eat lamb. That level of personalized service was truly beyond expectations.

There is only one small suggestion for improvement: when serving the welcome drink, offering a small cookie alongside the hot tea would make the experience feel even more complete and perfect.

Overall, everything about this stay was exceptional and beyond what we expected. Thank you to the entire team for making our birthday trip such a wonderful and memorable experience.

We recently stayed for two nights at your hotel through American Express for a pre-wedding photoshoot with Gaeul studio, and it was a truly wonderful experience. As it was our first time staying at a Sofitel property, we were especially impressed from the moment we arrived.

The entrance staff greeted us warmly and were all incredibly helpful, cheerful, and enthusiastic. My fiancé immediately felt that this was truly a five-star hotel experience. The front desk staff who assisted with our check-in also deserves special recognition—she was professional, friendly, and went beyond standard service. Her genuine warmth and effort to understand our needs made a lasting impression, and she truly deserves a promotion.

When we entered our room, we were amazed. The view overlooking the lake and Lotte World was spectacular, and we were even able to enjoy a beautiful sunset from the room, which made our stay even more memorable.

We also thoroughly enjoyed the amenities in our room. On the second day, we ordered in-room dining for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was—the eggs Benedict and pastries were outstanding. The staff member who served us breakfast was friendly and welcoming, greeting us with a warm smile.

On our final day, we visited the swimming pool and jacuzzi, where the reception staff were once again very hospitable and attentive. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay—not only because of the comfortable accommodation and excellent facilities, but also thanks to the genuinely friendly service provided by your team.

I had a pleasant stay at Sofitel Seoul overall. What I liked most was the excellent location, especially being so close to the mall, which made everything very convenient. The quality of both the room and the hotel facilities was also very good and met my expectations. I also appreciated the lounge access for Platinum members, which added extra comfort to the stay.

In terms of improvement, I understand that my stay was during a public holiday, but the hospitality felt a bit less personal and less warm than expected. I had also noted during booking and even sent an email in advance that this was a special occasion trip, so I was disappointed that there was no acknowledgment or gesture from the hotel regarding this. In addition, the breakfast food rotation felt rather flat, so a bit more variety from day to day would make the experience even better.

Overall, it was still a good stay, and I would consider coming back.

CONS: The pool requires a reservation if you would like to use it, they offer pool “sessions”, which typically range from 1.5-2 hours long. The two times I utilized the lap pool & jacuzzi, they were full of young children who made it nearly impossible to enjoy the pool. Further, the pool staff did nothing when clearly these young children were blocking both lanes of the pool, normally this would not be a big deal, but at a 5 star hotel such as this one, it is simply annoying & unacceptable. I also do not understand the point of reserving a time slot at the pool, when you will still be sharing it with 30 or more people, which was my experience unfortunately. Coupled with the fact that the pool area lacks sufficient seating and lounge chairs, this was my biggest disappointment while staying here. Next, the “luxury room”type is quite a small room, with a small window, it was certainly not my favorite hotel room in Seoul. And even worse, there was no smart tv, which I think should be standard in a 5 star hotel in 2026 in a modern city such as Seoul.
Overall, Sofitel Ambassador Seoul is a good pick for a luxury hotel especially if you want to be close to Lotte World mall and tower. However, it is definitely not the best hotel in Seoul.
