Anteroom Seoul offers cozy, clean rooms and a pleasant overall atmosphere. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming, which adds to a positive stay experience.
The hotel is located a bit off from the main areas, so there isn’t much going on nearby in terms of activities or attractions. However, considering the price, it still provides good value for money.
The location is not far from the metro, but it’s quite an uphill walk and can be exhausting. I recommend taking the bus instead if you don’t want to walk up and down the hill. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and it’s also located near Garosugil Road, with lots of shops and restaurants and pretty close to Saddler Haus Café.
The room size is perfect for two people, and the room service is great. However, one downside is that the room is not well soundproofed, so you can hear noise from outside and surroundings.
Very great hotel for short stay
Pros:
-Good location
-Nearby chic shopping area
-Clean room + very well designed
-Toilet is warm + heated seat
-Able to provide luggage storage on the day you checked out
-Provide room service (even you say no room service but they will leave you the extra towel outside of your room for you)
-Cafe / Bar on the rooftop which is very nice. You also get 20% discount if you also stay in the Anteroom hotel.
Cons:
-Small space for long stay (more than 5 days)
-The concierge can not speak english that well so it’s harder to communicate with foreigner.
Overall very nice hotel and locations.
I had an excellent experience here. The staff is super helpful, they have packing tape in the back that they lent me. The hotel also provides free self service laundry, and will give you laundry detergent for free as well. Highly recommend.
I booked this Motel for 3 nights based solely on location and the pictures shown on the website. I don't remember ever leaving a hotel after one night on a prepaid 3 night reservation but I'm so glad I did. I should've known when the hotel has a "no refund" policy that they don't stand behind their product. I arrived early at 7am and told the front desk (staff and manager) that I would be happy to pay a day's rate of around $70 to check in early. I was told that I will have to pay the weekend rate of $250 to check in 8 hours early. I tried to reason with them but they would not budge. I was told that I could come back at 10am and pay W20,000/hour (100,000 won) to check in early. They gave this "option" to everyone that came after me. I guess some people may be willing to pay $250. So, I came back at 10am and paid to check in early. Don't let the pictures on the website fool you. This is not a "Hotel", it is a "Motel" Also, look at the bed. The length of the bed is basically the width of the room. You can't put 2 opened suite cases side by side. The last straw that broke the camel's back was finding hairs on the blanket and bed sheets. Ugh!!! After the first night, I found myself getting depressed about the thought of going back to the motel after my morning coffee at Tim Hortons. I decided I deserved better and moved to the Andaz nearby. OMG, I will never take Hyatt for granted ever again. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Andaz. If you are looking for a motel solely based on price and location, Anteroom may work for you. However, if amenities, cleanliness, and self-esteem is important to you, I would look elsewhere.
