Josun Palace, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Seoul Gangnam

I usually don’t write reviews, but Josun Palace truly deserves compliments for our stay.

We stayed with a baby, and the staff accommodated all of our needs with exceptional hospitality and care.

From my personal experience, both the hardware and service are among the best in Korea.

Every detail — including the amenities, cleanliness, swimming pool, turndown service, doormen, and even the baby bed guard — was perfect.

The price is on the higher end compared to average hotels in Seoul; however, the ambiance, service, and overall quality absolutely justify it.

I highly recommend Josun Palace to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Seoul (Gangnam) and experience luxury with comfort.

After four days of hanging out with friends who are staying at the hotel, only one lady and one guy staff were outstandingly kind at the lobby. Most employees were happy to help but A LOT of them felt rather unprofessional and treated me like a 'mooch' when I was the one who recommended them they should stay here for the true luxury experience of Seoul. Also could hear some of the smack talk from a distance.

The rooms are nice because they stayed at a nicer tier and the breakfast was quite extensive. Perhaps food might be their thing as the bar was pretty special too. Although it looks like they don't have service elevators (even after two years in operation) so they bring room service food along with strangers in the elevator coming in and out of the hotel... not good.

Location wise, it's a weird area because it's an office town and not much to do unless you take a taxi somewhere else. Not a walkable place for many in harsh weather conditions.

I doubt the hotel management checks Google reviews but they need someone with YEARS of hospitality experience or service training to put this place into shape. Just because you teach them to do something a certain way, that doesn't mean they'll do it with a nice smile or authenticity, especially if you're new in the industry.

If you're made of money and / or doesn't matter as long as they SEEM nice to you, feel free to stay here. But there is definitely a bit of a weird vibe compared to other 5 star hotels in Seoul as a local.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt compelled to after my recent 8-night stay with my wife and 3-year-old boy. It was that good.

The service at this hotel is phenomenal. Every tiny detail was taken care of, 100% of the time. The staff never missed a single thing. The room and hotel are spotlessly clean. When they say they offer turn down service, they actually do it every single time. Everything from arranging our arrival to the airport to taxis and restaurant reservations was effortless and natural. It felt like a home away from home. The michelin star restaurant upstairs and fantastic 1914 lounge were cherries on top. Constans was also fantastic. Another cool feature were the extensive art and flower arrangements. And of course, the korean style spa/sauna, which was excellent.

Most importantly, and the hallmark of a great hotel- no ask is too great, and they will go out of the way to make something happen for you. On multiple occasions, the staff navigated challenging circumstances, including a high profile celebrity visit, and prioritized my family to ensure we were attended to quickly and safely. After we checked out, my wife realized she lost a pair of glasses. The staff found them and immediately offered to ship them to the U.S. for us.

The location is a bit far from many of the tourist areas further north, although it met our needs and there are plenty of great food options within walking distance. The hotel also made getting a taxi a breeze, and subway and bus stops were an easy walk. It does feel a bit corporate and contemporary being in an office building in Gangnam, but the service at this hotel more than made up for that, and is the defining feature of this place. By far the best service I’ve ever experienced at a 5 star hotel.

Our stay at Josun Palace was the epitome of hospitality. From the pre-arrival communication to check-in, throughout our stay, and all the way through to departure, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The team was consistently kind, generous, and attentive at every touchpoint.

The property itself is incredibly impressive. The architecture, interiors, material choices, and decor are beautifully designed, balancing both form and function. There is a clear sense of intention behind every detail.

What stood out most was how seamlessly the team anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. From offering a late checkout, knowing our evening flight, to upgrading our already beautiful room, every gesture was so very thoughtful and genuine.

The amenities and in-room technology are state of the art, and we especially enjoyed the sauna and the wonderful team there. Every part of the experience felt elevated and carefully considered.

As a titanium member who loves staying in luxury hotels, this hotel has to be one of the best luxury hotels I have ever stayed at. And the reasons are all in the details.

Of course the rooms are gorgeous and beautifully designed. But what makes this hotel stand out are the staff and its welcoming benefits for titanium members.

1) staff in the front door lobby:
I always feel so welcomed whenever I return. They are so engaging and courteous. Saying ‘welcome back’ instead of ‘good evening’ makes us feel welcomed as hotel guests.

2) buffet restaurant Constans:

Staff at front desk would remember us coming back after the first day, and plates are removed as soon as I am finished. Drinks are served quickly. Food spread is one of the best I’ve seen at a hotel buffet. Making the breakfast experience one of the best I’ve experienced and I look forward to it every day.

3) Front desk check in and Concierge:
Logan was very welcoming and efficient. Aiden Kim was the most professional and helpful! Absolute pleasure to meet him.

I will be visiting Seoul again next year and I cannot wait to stay at this beautiful and amazing hotel again! Thank you for everything :)

I am serious when I say this: Josun Palace is the best hotel and service I have ever experienced.
And this comes from someone who suffers from a chronic condition, an uncontrollable urge to find flaws in even the highest rated places.
Josun Palace offered zero opportunity for my condition to manifest.

The room was spacious, with a proper walk-in closet (already a win) and a stunning bathroom. It was one of those rare hotel rooms where I instinctively start looking for something wrong… and simply can’t find it. I tried.

Breakfast deserves a special mention: an enormous, beautifully presented selection, elegant and generous. As someone who avoids gluten and lactose, my options were a bit more limited, but even then, the quality and care were very noticeable, and the experience remained excellent.
Service throughout the stay was flawless.

Highly recommended.
Not just as a luxury hotel, but as a rare place where everything simply works.
