Homes Stay Myeongdong

A bit of a mixed bag for us.

The elephant in the room is that this is located in Chungmuro - not Myeongdong (that's the next metro stop up Line 4). That said, Chungmuro is a transfer station at the junction of Lines 3 and 4 - allowing effortless metro transport over Seoul.

The other elephant in the room is the terrible elevator setup. 20 floors, two tiny elevators crammed with not only people but luggage. Sometimes took us 15-20 minutes to leave our floor.

There's a Starbucks, pharmacy and convenience store in the building, with eateries and direct subway access underneath.

Service was completely automated with a check in kiosk. We encountered an issue with the TV not functioning, response via our booking agency was to call them on a Korean number - there was no way to directly speak in person - a big let down.

The room was clean and housekeeping did a good job. An enclosed verandah with table and chairs was taken advantage of. Room controls were on a seperate panel.

All is good, well-equipped and everything is provided. The worst part is The lift…
damn slow and the waiting time is crazy.

Last day check out. Love the convenience, airport limousine bus just walking distance away

I only have to say that the charging ports don’t work. The hotel has very old charging ports or it doesn’t work. This obviously impacts everything as a tourist because I need my phone to translate and look for places to visit. Unfortunate because the room is decent.

Amazing hotel! probably one of the best values for a location just one train stop from Myeongdong (about a 10–15 minute walk at most). It’s also only about a 20-minute train ride to Hongdae. Namsangol Hanok Village is right behind the hotel, just half a block away.

Customer service was great. I was able to store my luggage with the staff when I arrived early. Plus, there’s a Starbucks on the first floor, which is super convenient.

Excellent location from subway, local Busses and Airport Bus. Close to Restaurants and Bars. Walking Distance to Myeongdong Shopping Area. Friedly Staff. Luggage Lockers available. Very well equipped Room incl. Washer/Dryer, Hot Water Kettle, Fridge/Freezer and Stovetop incl. Dishes and Cookware.
The only Thing negative: only two Elevators. As others mentioned: Calculate spare time for waiting on Elevators. Therefore only 4☆ in Total- otherwise highly recommended!

Best hotel we've been!

Cleanliness was on point! The housekeeper always cleans our room and supply new towels !

No floor carpets too which was perfect for us who have dust allergies. :)

The room has modern, minimalist and sleek look. It was also very practically made! There were fridge, microwave, etc. all that you might think you would need. Plus, lots of storage space which was beneficial to us because we stayed for a week - we brought clothes for seven days.

Room has decent space too, especially for our four luggages!

The air-conditioning was perfectly working too which was good for the warm weather.

Lastly, the location was strategic - near the station, airport pick-up bus, Myeongdong shopping and food streets!

Worth the money!

Great location as it is right up Chungmuro station & airport transfer Bus is right below the apartments. So that’s a win win. Room: our kettle wasn’t working due to connection, let the staff know. They couldn’t fix it. So we just switched connections to use the hot water kettle. Perks: location & washing machine. Though you need to get your own laundry detergent as none was provided. Overall access to myeongdong and airport is a good option.
