Today is the day of our 5 day stay, enough time to gain a rounded appreciation of the hotel’s strengths and its potential for improvement.
The hotel is centrally located in Seomyeon, allowing you to walk to most shopping and dining facilities. Room rates are very reasonable. The hotel is new and well presented. Rooms are clean and kept clean. Room amenities are modern and adequate unless you intend to cook, which the hotel makes abundantly clear is not allowed. Reception staff were very helpful, in particular a young woman called Hailey who assisted us with our queries.
Now for areas when things can be improved. We found access to be problematic in the first 2 days, less so after we became used to how things worked. Room and left access is digitally controlled by separate QR codes that are downloaded to your phone. Lose your phone, leave it behind, or a flat phone battery will shut you out. Ask the helpful reception staff for a more conventional digital access card and your problems should be fixed. Also, note that room lighting is digitally controlled by a central touch panel. Fiddly at first but most should comes to grips with this unnecessarily complex arrangement after a day or two. And oh, try to avoid tripping over the 5 cm step at the entry to your room. Hazardous design feature that should have been avoided when the hotel was built.
Room amenities, as I’ve noted, are adequate if you don’t cook. However, we were provided only with two coffee mugs. No drinking glasses, no cutlery, no plates or other crockery. Not even a tea spoon to make tea or coffee with. Improvement is needed in this regard.
Finally, the common dining area. We note that some guests have complained about the limited breakfast menu and limited seating during busy breakfast times. Please note however that the breakfast is complimentary, so fine dining expectations should be toned down. We had no problems with food or seating and were grateful the hotel provided this complimentary service.
We’re enjoying our stay at the Sota Suite Hotel, the suite is comfortable, equipped with a washing machine, oven, air conditioning and fridge, and there is hot water 24/7.
Being located on a main junction, it’s noisy if the windows are open.
Location is convenient.
The staff at the reception are all very nice and helpful.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The suite is very well equipped with modern, connected features. The gym is also well equipped which was a great bonus.
The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel is extremely quiet, making it a perfect place to relax. I felt very at ease throughout my stay.
The location is good, right next to Seomyeon, a lively area and close to both metro and bus lines, which made getting around very easy.
I especially loved the modern and minimalist design of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
A very nice and luxury experience in the center of Busan (seomyeon). Good emplacement with buses and metro line stations around. Rooms are beautiful, spacious, with a lot of equipment and also very clean. The building is secure and high-tech (you need a QR code to access room floors and to enter your room). Every time that I had a question the staff was helpful and very nice. I recommend this hotel !!
Heard that this hotel only opened in 2025, so everything still feels very new and clean — from the furniture to the fixtures 👍
Check-in is a little different from the usual. At the counter, the staff will give you a slip with a QR code. You’ll need to scan it to access your room number, door PIN, and even the elevator QR. Quite modern and convenient once you get used to it.
Housekeeping is only available upon request if you stay more than 2 nights, so just take note of that.
One thing I really liked is the in-room washing machine — super convenient, especially for longer stays. They also provide all the essentials from shampoo and conditioner to towels, so no worries there.
The room is spacious, and the location is great — within walking distance to the popular Seomyeon shopping area.
Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay
Nice, large room. Very spacious and clean. It doesn't have amenities, so will have to buy or bring own shampoo/shower gel etc. It's more like an apartment. Affordable price and close to subways and shopping area, very convenient for tourists.
