Shilla Stay Haeundae

Travelling on business. Had a long day… all restaurants closed, no room service… sleeping hungry tonight. Restaurants only operate 3 days a week. Lol. Never ever had a hotel not offering any food or drinks. Crazy. Won’t be back.

The location is great, it’s right by the beach and walking street. The rooms seemed nice, but if you’re spending any actual time in them I did not think they were great. The WiFi did not work well, the tv only has Korean channels and no streaming services, so if you don’t speak Korean you’re out of luck. The rooftop pool/bar that is advertised all over is only actually open for about 1 1/2 months as far as I could find out. The real killer for me though was that AC was only available from 8:30 AM - 12 AM, so I was sleeping in a 26.5 C room. Definitely not for hot sleepers.

This was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
From the moment we arrived, every staff member was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. The level of service was outstanding.

The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable.
During this trip, we stayed at a similar-level hotel in Japan, but it was more expensive than this hotel, and the room was much smaller. This made us appreciate this hotel even more.

The location is absolutely perfect.
It’s right in front of Haeundae Beach, with plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. Transportation is also very convenient.
The breakfast buffet was fantastic
everything was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared.
The chefs did an excellent job the food was amazing.

We loved our stay so much that we decided to extend it.

It was truly a perfect choice, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Busan.
We will be back!!

The food was excellent, and the location is perfect. The staff were amazing and incredibly kind, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel buffet was especially impressivethere was a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted delicious.
The price is also very reasonable for the quality and service provided.
Overall, a fantastic experience. I would definitely stay here again!

If you’re thinking of the The Shilla Seoul, you are mistaken. First of all, the level of the staff does not come close, and it felt as if they had forgotten that they work in the service industry. Their attitude came across as arrogant, and when customers made requests, it seemed like they only cared about money, which was very unpleasant.

When you think of Shilla Hotel, delicious food immediately comes to mind, but you should not associate that image with this place.

This is probably why people choose nearby options like Lotte Hotel Busan or Paradise Hotel Busan instead.

I’m not sure if the unfriendliness was due to a language barrier, but it would be difficult for me to return. I would also recommend to my friends that they go to Lotte, Paradise, or even the older The Westin Josun Busan instead.

I sincerely hope improvements will be made as soon as possible
