Very disappointing experience. I booked in advance and provided my passport information, yet when I arrived, I was told I could not check in because I am not yet fully 19 years old, despite being born in 2007. If this was the hotel’s policy, it should have been communicated before my arrival, especially since they already had my identification details. To make matters worse, the staff member was rude and unhelpful throughout the interaction and simply made me cancel the reservation on the spot. Poor communication and poor customer service.
The staff were great. Room service kept it all very clean. The rooms are very basic. It was like stepping back in time to the 1990s. It needs a refurb. The worst part was the noise. Do not expect sleep on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings. Firstly you have the clubs. Which can be blocked with ear plugs. However we had the added bonus of a busker from 1am to 6am with a speaker system outside the hotel singing the same 6 songs by Oasis, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay on rotation. Ear plugs did nothing. It spoilt our trip to Seoul getting no sleep for 4 of the 6 nights.
Room excellent.
Breakfast the best.
The only BIG PROBLEM and it is a big problem is that there is a disco in the hotel 2nd floor plus all the discos around, the hotel is not sound proof. Windows closed and you can still use Shazam from the 6th floor in your bedroom to identify a doing being played at one of the discos.
Tourist-grade hotel with all the essential amenities and a convenient location near plenty of restaurants and shops.
We didn’t get a chance to use the pool or other facilities. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, which meant we missed it on our first day due to an early departure. On the second day, the spread offered a good variety, including fruits, vegetables, a few meat options, and vegetarian choices. Items were replenished upon request, though quantities on display were kept minimal. The coffee station had limited options, but warm milk was available if asked. Bread selection was somewhat limited.
Rooms are modern, compact, and functional. The bathroom is small but comfortable, with a useful magnifying mirror, though the lighting could be improved. Beds and pillows were decent, and amenities like a kettle and two complimentary water bottles were appreciated.
One downside was the noise from nearby clubs—it was quite noticeable even on the eighth floor. The lobby is small but welcoming, and the elevators, though compact, operate smoothly. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Overall, a comfortable stay with a few minor drawbacks. We wouldn’t mind staying here again—just be sure to use the earplugs provided by the hotel.
Rooms: I'm a solo traveler and the only available room was a deluxe twin room but can fit 3 people - 1 single bed + 1 double bed. For 1 person, it's very spacious ofc and also very pricey. But if there are 3 people staying and paying, it's very worth the price! Not too soundproof tho.
Service: There's everyday housekeeping, 2 complimentary bottles of water, and the front desk staff are very friendly. They're also easy to talk to in English.
Location: If you're a tourist who loves meeting people (in bars, clubs), then this hotel is for you. It's right there in Itaewon. Good thing also that it's right outside the Itaewon station! But you can hear the partying and music in the room and I was in the 9th floor.
* The room reeked of cigarette smoke, so I had to switch rooms.
* It was very hard to fall asleep because of loud club noise , I could still hear the music even with earplugs.
* The pool was closed, and there was no prior notice.
* The door handle had an electric shock issue, so it startled me every time I touched it.
* There was no lounge.
* The air conditioning is centrally controlled, so it gets turned off arbitrarily. I couldn’t open the window because of the noise.
* Honestly, just book somewhere else lol
