Grab The Ocean Songdo

Nothing to say about position - that is strategic - but:
- the hotel lacks of decent customer care;
- the A/C control is poor considering that the wind direction cannot be fixed at will;
- breakfast is poor in choice.
Considering that we are talking about a 4 star hotel this is not acceptable at all...

"Total waste of time and money. The facility is okay, but the management is a disaster. Expect to spend ages just to check in—the process is unnecessarily complicated and slow. The lobby is constantly swamped with massive, loud tour groups, making it feel like a chaotic train station, not a hotel. Staff are dismissive and show zero hospitality. There are much better options nearby that actually respect their guests. Avoid if you value your peace and your vacation time."

I'm giving this hotel a overall 3 star and this is why.

I stayed in a suite with 4 people and of course, all of us need privacy. Unfortunately, one of the toilet doors can't even lock and there is literally a gap you can see through. It doesn't even shut fully which is a very poor design. Secondly, whenever you shower inside there, water leaks out below the door. It wets the floor where you have to use the bowl or the sink. The other toilet, guess what? It's connected to the room but the doors are transparent glass? There is literally a bed right in front of that toilet. How are you supposed to shower or do your business when someone else wants to sleep? I don't know what the developers were thinking when they designed this but that idea has to go. Wifi was terrible btw.

Other than that, the view was amazing as it shows the whole Songdo Beach and the staff was relatively okay and friendly. But I'm sorry, you guys let me down with the toilets.

Love the room beach view, amazingly beautiful.. there’s a lot room is spacious and cozy, there’s a CU in the 1st floor and Starbuck too.. so convenient. The breakfast is also great, it’s starting from 7 am if I’m not mistaken.. overall a 10 out of 10 experience:)

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past few years, and unfortunately, the issues remain unchanged — or have gotten worse.
• Elevator Chaos: The situation with the elevators is simply unacceptable. During peak hours, especially in the morning around breakfast time, it takes 15–20 minutes just to catch an elevator either up or down. This is a daily frustration that really impacts the overall experience.
• Breakfast – Stuck in the Past: The breakfast offering has been exactly the same for the past three years, and not in a good way. The food is bland and extremely limited — sausages with corn, only pork as a meat option, and very little variety overall. If you want a fried egg, good luck — the cook is often missing.
• Air Conditioning Issues: The room air conditioning has a poor design — it cannot be adjusted to change the direction of airflow, which means it blows directly onto your head while you sleep. It’s uncomfortable and disruptive.

This hotel has potential, but it urgently needs upgrades in both service and facilities. Until improvements are made, I can’t recommend staying here.
