Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach

Perfect spot to stay right across from the beach! Rina was so lovely at check in and my husband and I had a wonderful and comfortable stay for our wedding anniversary. Thank you Rina for your kindness and care during our stay!! We had a long day of travel and it was so appreciated :)

I stayed at Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach in June 2026. Only one day. Yet, I was served like Royalty, like I was here for a longer stay : from my seamless and thoughtful check-in to my airy, spacious, luminous sea-view and restful room, the professional check out, the service during the yummy breakfast buffet (Korean, Continental, Healthy, Vegan choices) the wi-fi access for quick business meetings and virtual calls — I was very impressed and beyond happy.

The bed and the meals were top-notch. Peter (my check-in associate) helped me rapidly to place a request to another Marriott in South Korea (Gunpo), where I may have forgotten a book — The Minor Prophets, in The Passion Translation — It may seem irrelevant to the readers, but despite working at a very busy Marriott Hotel — beachfront, literally, and steps away from Songdo Beach - Peter took time to look up the cover-image of the book online, and relayed that to AC Marriott Gunpo. The book was not found - I can still buy another one — yet Peter and the AC Marriott Hotel Gunpo took time — both associates at both Marriott — to seek it, just because a distracted and tired guest — me ;) — asked for it. And during my check-out the other associate of Marriott Busan Songdo Beach — Logan Park — took time to locate the name of my check-in associate - Peter. Overall, my experience at both Marriott Hotels in South Korea — Songdo Beach in Busan and Gunpo — were stress-free, relaxing yet efficient at the same time. Thank you the associates who helped me — at check-in and check-out and in the dinner room\kitchen during breakfast.

On a side note, if you are reading this and found my forgotten book, treasure it, as you were meant to read it in the season you are in. Enjoy it, and give it forward once you have read it.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Fairfield in Songdo Beach. Gorgeous view out of the room, which is wonderful to wake up to. Breakfast buffet was good as well, fair amount of Western and Korean choices. Staff were all very nice and at last also the surrounding of the tranquil Songdo Beach Area with quite a good amount of cafes and restaurants, but not overcrowded with loud beach bars at every corner. I enjoyed it a lot here and will come back if I visit Busan again!!

Very disappointed with the customer service at Fairfield by Marriott Busan. I accidentally double-booked hotels during my trip to Korea while traveling alone with my four-year-old son. After spending over four hours traveling by bus and arriving exhausted, I hoped the staff would at least try to help with some kind of solution, whether that was a date adjustment, partial credit, or even basic understanding.

Instead, the front desk staff showed no sympathy or concern at all, even knowing I had a young child with me in the lobby and that the room would go completely unused for four nights. I understand policies exist and that the booking was marked non-refundable, but hospitality and compassion still matter.

The complete lack of empathy and willingness to help left a very negative impression on me. Unfortunately, this experience changed how I view this hotel and the Marriott brand overall.

I wish I was able to give a zero not even a one star

We had a fantastic stay from Jan 20-23, 2026. Special thanks to Lucy Kang for the warm check-in and to Rina Park for her incredible help in retrieving a forgotten powerbank. The hotel's location is excellent with stunning sea views and sunrise every morning during our stay. Our room was spacious and clean, and amenities like the coin laundry, microwave, and hotel downstair GS25 store were very convenient for travelers. The entire staff was consistently friendly and welcoming. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to Busan. :)

I stayed here in December and got free parking with my bonvoy elite benefits. No free breakfast for titanium🥲 Parking can take a while if you arrive during peak hours, so keep that in mind. The room was super clean, which I really appreciated. The only downside was that the bathroom is kind of open-style, which might be uncomfortable for some people.
The ocean view is amazing, but the morning sun is very strong, so I recommend closing the blinds before going to sleep.
There are great food options nearby, including a really good sashimi, gukbap spots and a convenience store right on the first floor, which was very convenient. I’d definitely stay here again if I come back to Songdo.
