Commodore Hotel Busan

The company booked me a single room, but when I arrived at the reception they told me that the hotel was fully booked. After some vicissitudes, I got a room and when I asked about room service, they told me that it was closed because the last order was at 10:30 p.m., although it says that room service is open until 11 p.m.

I’m so glad I got to stay at a traditional Korean-style hotel! The breakfast was good. The fitness facilities were great, too:)

Just recently stayed at the Commodore Hotel (aka Komdore) on my first stay in Busan. Services was lovely, the desk lady help us with food recommendation. The bedroom was clean and the bed and pillows was soft and comfy. Location is perfect with surrounding restaurants and 10/15min walk to Busan station and proximity to bus services. The hotel is situated on a hill, so be mindful about trekking up with luggage. Would recommend taxi, if assistance is needed.

​Subject: Historic Charm Overshadowed by Lack of Hospitality and Basic Management

​While the Komodo Hotel boasts a unique architectural presence, my recent stay was marred by several service inconsistencies and management issues that fell short of expectations.
​Inflexible Amenity Policy:
Upon finding the room short on toothpaste, I requested a refill, only to be told that I had to purchase a full dental kit. It is quite disappointing that a hotel of this caliber lacks the flexibility to provide basic guest necessities without an additional charge.
​Subpar Breakfast Experience:
The breakfast service starts relatively late at 7:00 AM, which may be inconvenient for business travelers or those with early schedules. Furthermore, the table service was notably lacking. Unlike many comparable hotels where staff proactively offer coffee refills, guests here are required to serve themselves. Even when a request was made, it was disregarded, reflecting a poor standard of hospitality.
​Unpleasant Entrance Environment (Smoking Issues):
The most frustrating part was the hotel entrance. The area was crowded with smokers, causing a heavy scent of cigarette smoke to drift into the lobby. I fail to understand why the management does not direct smokers to a designated area at the rear of the building. Entering a hotel through a cloud of smoke is a very poor first impression.
​I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve their service standards and maintain a more pleasant environment for all guests.

i like the architecture of this hotel, like a kingdom, the interior inside is like we are in a unique ancient Korean kingdom, at first I thought this hotel was inspired by chinese buildings with its red color and design, the downside of this hotel is that it is a bit far if you want to go to the bus station and there are not many restaurants around the hotel, the service is also quite good and most importantly this hotel is not too far from the Busan KTX station

from the outside, this hotel is glamorous, but after spending one night it's already clear that it falls way below standard. I thought the temperature control was broken, only to find out from the front desk that the hotel purposefully sets it to 28-29C in the winters! I have never ever been in a hotel that's done this. they gave us a small fan which didn't help much and the window only opens a tiny amount... don't waste your money! by far the worst hotel I've stayed at on my month long trip in Korea.
