Absolutely Avoid At All Costs
I am writing this review to warn every potential guest about the appalling service and complete lack of basic hospitality at this hotel. This was supposed to be a special birthday trip for me, and I had explicitly confirmed with your staff via email prior to arrival that a simple birthday room arrangement would be prepared. To my utter disappointment, when I checked in, there was absolutely nothing—no decoration, no note, no acknowledgement whatsoever of my birthday or the prior arrangement we had made.
The service attitude throughout my entire stay was shockingly poor. The staff showed zero enthusiasm, no willingness to help, and treated guests like an inconvenience. To make matters worse, basic toiletries like toothbrushes are charged extra, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this price range.
The most ridiculous part was the complete absence of room service. When I requested extra towels, clean bed sheets and duvets in the evening after check-in, I was told I had to walk all the way down to the front desk and collect them myself. There was no offer to deliver them to my room, not even a polite apology for the inconvenience.
This establishment does not deserve to be called a hotel. It lacks the most fundamental service standards that even the cheapest budget hostels provide. I have never experienced such terrible service anywhere. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else. I will never be returning and will strongly advise all my friends and colleagues to avoid this place.
Great stay, 2 things id change, the doors slam shut so id put soft close on them and add a selection on pillows hard and soft. Other than that my 2 weeks there was very pleasant. Great area, quite especially if you overlooking the pool when its closed.
The front desk staff (possibly a trainee) on 18 March at 6 am was extremely helpful and friendly.
The location is very convenient—about a 10-minute walk to the metro—and the neighborhood is lovely as well.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Seoul and highly recommend it to others.
This is a great hotel for anyone traveling to Korea. Staff is nice, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure you have the best time in Korea. I will be staying here again. Photo is a view of room 1309.
We stayed at Amanti Seoul Hotel for 5 nights, booking 2 rooms and spending almost ₩2,000,000, and yet the experience was far from 4-star quality.
Upon check-in, we realized there were no toothbrushes provided. When we asked, the staff said we had to buy a set for ₩1,000 — which isn’t about the price, but the principle. For a supposed 4-star hotel, it’s ridiculous. When we requested a waiver given our long stay and high spend, they changed their explanation and claimed it’s “the law” and “environmentally friendly.” Ironically, everything in the hotel is still wrapped in plastic.
On the second day, one of our towels went missing after housekeeping. I had even left a ₩5,000 tip as a kind gesture, but the service seemed to get worse instead of better.
The final straw came when we accidentally left our key cards in the room and asked for help to open the door. They charged us ₩10,000 as a “lost key” fee — even though we later returned both keys. For a 4-star property, this kind of service is simply unacceptable.
Overall, zero hospitality, poor service attitude, and unreasonable charges. We will never return and strongly do not recommend this hotel. Definitely not worth the price.
I had a really cozy stay at Amanti! The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the room felt comfortable and relaxing. I slept very well. The only tiny thing was the water pressure in the shower — a bit too gentle 😅. But overall I really enjoyed my time here and would be happy to come back.
The air conditioning in the room was not working properly and the temperature could not be adjusted as needed, which made the room uncomfortably warm. There was also a fire alarm that went off around 3–4 AM, which was very disruptive and concerning. The room lighting was quite dim, and the sensor light near the door turned off too quickly, making it difficult to use the mirror in front. Additionally, the pillows were too low, which made sleeping uncomfortable.
We were not allowed to eat snacks in the lobby as the staff asked us to stop. Breakfast service ended at 9 AM, and seating was only available until 9:30. The staff cleared the tables very quickly, which made us feel rushed. Overall, the experience did not feel worth the price paid.
