OYO Hostel Myeongdong 1

They have single rooms and it is perfect for solo travelers. Location is in the middle of so many shops. Meaty restaurant on the first floor and porridge place on the 2nd floor.

They have a light breakfast and coffee in the kitchen with bowls and utensils. But, I did see a woman right in front of my eyes literally trying to steal cutlery of spoon and chopsticks. She didn't care about the cameras, I guess. I could not believe it. I did not say anything to her..she just slipped them into her handbag. When she smiled to me while I was eating my gimbap, I gave her a dirty look. She must have understood it, she literally took out the cutlery from bag. Again, in front of my eyes..lol

honestly was terrible, my mothers first time here as a surprise trip and this hotel treated her dreadful. Unfortunately on one of her nights the toilet just broke and started leaking everywhere pure sewage on the bathroom floor, were you shower and also go for the toilet this was at around 11pm mind you they go at 10pm. We called multiple numbers and no answers until finally at reception we saw a emergency night number say the time was around 1am now mind you we had to be up early the next day for a tour so this was such a inconvenience. The guy came looked at it and said “we are fully booked out you will have to wait until tomorrow” that is honestly disgusting and dreadful mum was that tired she just agreed as we were staying next door. so she could use our bathroom in the morning if she wanted too but mind you if i wasn’t staying there where would she have gone? the next day as i said we had the tour so we were away the texted me on my mums behalf saying the could change rooms, obviously thats great but isnt that the bare minimum? and so we requested a refund for that night and the next night as the bathroom is in-usable therefore you arnt paying for a room your just paying for a bed, cant shower, cant use bathroom they repeatedly said no refunds the place is usable and tried to blame my mum saying that the “housekeepers” found no faults the day before, well if the room is so usable why has it been closed and getting repaired the last two days we are here🤣 unfortunately this turned our accommodation from a 5 star to a 0 the way the handled it left my mum stranded and the way they didn’t offer anything except late checkout for a hour and a new room which is a necessity as you cant stay in a room that doesn’t offer a shower or bathroom. Lady didn’t even apologise, say goodbye or anything! HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT STAYING IN ANY OF THE OYO HOSTELS ive stayed much better last time i was here USTAY being one of then definitely should of picked that the next time im here! anyways photos attached:)

这是首尔市中心一家价格实惠的青年旅舍。房间虽然有点小，但我仍然会推荐给所有人。

旅舍位于明洞中心地带，距离地铁站不到10分钟路程，步行不到一分钟就能到达一家名为e-mart24的便利店，非常方便。

旅舍提供免费早餐，时间为早上8点至11点，包括切片面包（提供烤面包机）、果酱、黄油、速溶咖啡和茶。速溶饮料、水和热水24小时供应。

如果我再次来首尔，我一定会再次入住这家旅舍。

我和家人在这里住了一晚。地理位置很棒，离明洞站只有四分钟的步行路程。我们听不到外面的喧嚣，但能听到隔壁房间的嘈杂声。房间里提供拖鞋，可以脱鞋，感觉很干净。卫生间和淋浴间是公用的，没有浴帘，所以我一开始有点犹豫，怕弄湿。厕纸盒是那种用完就扔进垃圾桶的。

工作人员非常友好，给我们留下了很好的印象。入住和退房时都收到了韩国甜点，感觉很贴心。

下次来韩国我还会选择住在这里。

I had a great stay at OYO Hostel Myeongdong 1. The reception staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, both during the morning and night shifts. They were also kind enough to take care of my parcel, which I truly appreciated. While the bathroom wasn’t very spacious, the room was clean and well-maintained overall. I’m very excited to stay here again soon! 🇵🇭

Perfect location and easy to access from the station! The staff was very helpful and kind. The hostel is small but very comfortable, with enough space for a couple without hitting each other too much. The bathroom has no proper place for the shower, but you get used to it fast, the water heater was working as expected!

The location of Oyo Hostel is fantastic, right in the center of Myeongdong. From here, everything is close (metro station approx. 5 minutes, bus stop). Rooms clean, cleaned every day. Rooms equipped with everything you need (towels, bed linen, air conditioning, hairdryer, TV, fridge, shampoo, shower gel, soap). The service was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfasts. The rooms may not be large, but they are sufficient to rest comfortably. We will remember our stay with pleasure (26/06-03/07/25). We highly recommend it and greet the staff.
