Good for the price. The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean and in mostly good shape. I had quite a lot more room than expected.

The owner (that also seems to do all the work) is very nice and speaks English.

Location is pretty good, right next to a metro station that is decently connected.

Joyful Stay in Sindang is absolutely value for money and very affordable for the quality you get. We stayed from January 28 to February 4, and our experience was excellent from the moment we arrived.

We arrived in the hostel around 11:00 AM after a red-eye flight. Even though official check-in is at 3:00 PM, the host kindly allowed us to check in early since the room was already available. That small gesture made a huge difference, especially after a long, tiring flight.

The room was surprisingly spacious compared to most accommodations in Seoul, which is a big plus. It was also very warm and cozy, perfect for winter stays. The bathtub in the bathroom is a huge bonus and not something you often get at this price point in Seoul. While the room doesn’t have a window, the host thoughtfully provided a dehumidifier, so the space still felt comfortable and well-maintained.

Everything you need for essential travel is provided. There’s a washing machine with free detergent and fabric conditioner, a clothes iron, and even free snacks, which really adds to the homey feel of the place.

Location-wise, it’s excellent. The guesthouse is very close to the train and bus stations, making it easy to get around the city. There are plenty of food stores and local restaurants in the neighborhood, and most major tourist attractions are easily accessible by public transport.

Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, well-located, and budget-friendly homestay in Seoul, Joyful Stay is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for travelers who want quality without paying hotel prices. I would definitely stay here again.

Just perfect! The owner of the hotel is super friendly and helpful! At the entrance you'll find free snacks and drinking water (even hot water for ramen noodles).

It's located close to metro lines 2 (Sundance) and 6. There's also a very cool market close by with delicious "pancakes".

The rooms are small, but you have your own bathroom and air-conditioning. There's even a bathtub. We also had a hairdryer in our room.

All in all, our stay was perfect and we'd love to come again some time!

我住了好几晚，但可以自己更换毛巾，使用洗衣机和微波炉，而且他们还免费提供茶、咖啡、饮水机和米饼。附近有两条地铁线路和一个公交车站（不过要注意，最近的出口有楼梯）。

附近还有美味的餐厅和便利店。附近还有一个市场。我在广藏市场吃得饱饱的，之后步行回家。

晴天的时候，他们会把榻榻米晾晒，我很欣赏他们这种注重细节、连最不起眼的地方都保持整洁的做法。空调是新的，毛巾又厚又大，我很喜欢。

我一个人住，但大床很舒服。房间里还有冰箱。

他们通常接受一周左右的预订，但如果有空房，也可以短租。

We had a great time in Seoul, and staying here made it all possible. The price was very affordable and the location is excellent, 1 minute walk to Sindang station and you can get pretty much anywhere from there. There are loads of local restaurants all around the area, coffee shops, pharmacies everything you could need. There's also the famous Sindang Tokbokki town just a few minutes walk which was very enjoyable.
The room we booked wasn't huge by any means (double room) but it did the job for a much lower price than the other options. The room has a TV, fridge, fan, AC, dehumidifier, hairdryer etc. The bathroom again isn't so big but does the job for a few days stay.
Downstairs there's a refreshment station with tea and coffee, snacks, candies etc to help yourself. Washer and dryer available too.
Lastly, the owner...absolute legend! So nice and welcoming, friendly and was always there when we needed anything. Thanks alot and wish you all the best 👍
