Honesty Station

We had a great stay! The staff were exceptionally accommodating, letting us store our luggage before check in and check in a little late as well. The common space was really well stocked and a pleasant area. The TV is huge and we had a fun time watching kpop videos in good quality on the big screen. The location was very convenient and the room very comfortable. Thank you to the wonderful hosts!

Wasted Potential.

We booked this hostel with high expectations because it looked great online—the concept of 24/7 kitchen access and a cozy setup sounded ideal. There are definitely positive aspects: the location is fantastic and extremely convenient right next to the train station, and the self-check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. However, the room we were assigned was a major disappointment compared to others. While some rooms had large, bright windows, ours had a tiny window, making it feel very dark. Worse yet, there were visible stains on our bedsheets and the towels provided were dirty as well, which is completely unappetizing.
The biggest frustration, however, was the kitchen. Having 24/7 access sounds good on paper, but in reality, it was consistently dirty. While guests are partly responsible for cleaning up after themselves, the management needs to provide the proper tools and structure to make that possible. For instance, there were no dish towels to dry anything. As a result, everyone just left their washed dishes to air-dry, leaving a massive pile of clutter that nobody wanted to sort through. Tables and stovetops were routinely left dirty, and the trash bins were never fully emptied. We noticed staff members only arriving around 11:00 AM—long after the morning rush, when most guests had already made breakfast and left. Cleaning early in the morning would make a world of difference.
All in all, we left feeling genuinely disappointed because we could see how great this place could be. With better attention to hygiene, basic amenities, and smarter staff timing, this could easily be a 5-star stay. Instead, these neglected details dragged what should have been a fantastic experience down to a 2-star review. It is a real shame to see such wasted potential.

This place worked for us like a charm coming to Seoul. Location: between two metro stations, close to green and purple lines. If you plan to stay in the city center, you'll be using the green line a lot. Additionally, a bus stop is nearby, including an airport bus stop - very convenient. The room was very small but incredibly practical at the same time. There's a small desk, a few drawers and good bathroom. Also, there's a window. Perfect if you don't plan to spend much time in the room, otherwise it might feel constricting. There is a spacious kitchen available for all guests, that includes breakfast supplies, like toasts, eggs, ham or even ramen. Having such well-equipped kitchen has allowed us to fully enjoy the city while not constantly planning when or where we'll eat breakfast or a midnight snack. Every time we met the place's manager he was very nice and welcoming, helped us with our luggage.

Close to bus stops and train stations. Our room is small but clean and has strong wifi. The highlights are: free food(noodles, ramen, milk, juices, bananas, free to cook(ham and eggs), coffee, tea, free laundry(including soap and fabric softener), iron with ironing board and the owner/manager Gerry or Sungmin(Korean name) is excellent as a host. He does everything in the place and is very helpful in everything we need to make our stay satisfying and relaxing. Great job, Gerry. We'll comeback again if South Korea is part of our trip itinerary.

This is a very “honest” review. In a nutshell, if you know what you’re getting with this price point, you won’t be disappointed. This place is more of a glorified “gosiwon” (do look it up). That means no natural light and walls are paper thin. I was already aware that there was no elevator, but the staircases were still very steep to climb. The location, though close to both Chungjeong and Ahyeon stations, is slightly off the beaten paths, and can feel deserted in the evenings. The room itself was pretty decent, though the work desk was a little lacking since the chair had no back support. The staff were very responsive and accommodating, so that was a plus.
