We stayed here from May 1–4 and overall had a good experience. The location is good, although I wouldn’t call it perfect. It’s in a quiet and safe area, about a 5-minute walk from City Hall Station, making it easy to get around Seoul and reasonably convenient for airport access with one transfer (unless you take a direct airport bus). There are convenience stores like 7-Eleven and GS25 nearby, along with plenty of restaurants, although we didn’t get the chance to try many of them. Myeongdong is also within reasonable reach, though not directly around the corner.

From the outside, the building doesn’t look particularly inviting compared with some of the nearby hotels and buildings. We had a private room with our own bathroom and intentionally chose a room category that appeared to have a window based on the Booking.com photos. Technically it did—but it faced directly into the neighboring building wall, with barely any space in between. Not exactly a view, but at least useful for ventilation.

Communication with the property was good. We asked for the access codes in advance and received them in time without any issue. Since there is generally no on-site staff, this is important. We only needed to contact them regarding the check-in process after arrival, and they replied quickly.

One thing guests should be aware of is the shoe policy. After entering the hostel, you need to remove your shoes, put them in a locker, switch into slippers, and then head upstairs to your room. Every time you leave and come back, you repeat the whole process. Not a huge issue, but with heavy luggage or if you forget something in your room and need to go back, it becomes surprisingly annoying.

Our private room was small, but cleverly arranged and comfortable enough even for two people with luggage. There were plenty of power outlets, a fridge, a table, a stool, and a comfortable bed. No TV, although that would have made the stay even better. The bathroom was clean, spacious enough, with good water pressure and quick hot water. Like many compact Asian bathrooms, the shower can make everything wet, but that’s manageable.

A surprisingly big plus was the shared kitchen. There was much more food available than expected: rice, eggs, instant noodles, toast, peanut butter, jam, cereal, milk, soy milk, tea, coffee, a hot/cold water dispenser, and more. Budget travelers could genuinely make great use of this.

Laundry is available, but as with any shared facility, it depends entirely on other guests. During our stay, washing machines were occupied with finished laundry that had clearly been left there for a long time, including overnight and into the following day.

Despite Booking showing the hostel as fully booked, we barely saw other guests and never had issues with crowded shared spaces.

Seoul accommodation prices were unusually high during our visit compared with Tokyo, Taipei, or Doha, so value is a little hard to judge fairly—but despite a few quirks, we would happily stay here again.

Great location, washing machine / drier can be used free of charge, and free breakfast that you can have whenever you like. Simple and convenient.

I have cancelled my reservation because of the crisis we experienced today. My flight ticket was cancelled and my reservation was non refundable, and I contacted the owner if you may refund the 50% amount, and thus he/she agreed. I’m so happy. If ever the world is okay to travel, I will definitely go back to this hotel. They are understandable and considerate. I highly suggest this hotel to you guys.

This place was exactly what I needed.

Small rooms (~4m2) with a bed, a desk and a stool. No window. Enough space for you and your luggage.
Showers work perfect with hot water and pressure.
Food is provided free of charge all day long along with a filtered water fountain.
WiFi is fast everywhere.
Washing & drying machines are available free of charge.
The manager kindly let me in early.
The situation is perfect : very central near many transports, city hall, and Namdaemun market. Shops and local restaurants next door.

The real down here is sound isolation, it is terrible, walls are paper and you hear everything. I was lucky to get a room in a quiet spot but if you’re close to the kitchen your rest is dead.

Still, I paid 90€ for 4 nights and would go again (if granted a quiet enough room).

很实惠的住宿，地点超级好！从City Hall地铁站走过来大约8分钟（上坡，推行李较不方便），坐公车5分钟到首尔站！走路也可以轻松到明洞闹区。附近很多餐厅很热闹，这个价位真是佛心了🥹

整体空间非常干净，房间真的蛮小的（如图）但觉得不用移动就能轻松拿行李 & 桌面东西其实满方便😛被子跟床超舒服，还有提供电毯！

厨房有很多零食可以自取以及洗衣机&烘衣机可使用。房间墙壁有点薄，但晚上很安静。没有电梯及卫浴稍微简陋一点，但是上楼的楼梯不会太陡，我拿一大一小行李超过25kg也没什么问题。

一人旅行、住个一两晚早出晚归的话是个非常好的选择！

A nice cozy hostel in a prime location in central Seoul. 8 mins walking from city hall station, 12 mins to Myeongdong. There are also bus stops easily connect to many places. (

Really enjoyed my stay here! The hostel is in a quiet area which is so nice. It’s about a short walk from City Hall Station Exit 7 (stairs only). If you come by subway, it’s uphill to the hostel, but if you take the bus or airport bus, the route is flat and super close — definitely recommend this if you have heavy luggage.

I stayed in a single room — quite big compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in Seoul. Room was clean, comfortable, and big enough to open a 28-inch luggage. The price is cheap considering it’s near Myeongdong (about 10–15 mins walk), really good deal!

Shower and toilet were clean. They provide towel, toiletries, and a hair dryer. No iron, but washing machine and dryer are free to use. Breakfast is available all the time so you can eat whenever you want.

Only thing is the room isn’t soundproof, but that’s pretty normal for hostels. Overall, great stay and would recommend!
