The hotel is in a very central location, perfect for shopping and right next to the Nike and Adidas stores. The rooms are nice, and the bed is super comfortable. The lobby is located on the 21st floor, and the hotel bar is really great. There’s also a heated poo

Amidst the ongoing construction in Hongdae stands L7 Hotel 🏨. The hotel has been quite controversial, with guests sharing very mixed opinions—and after staying there, it’s easy to understand why.

The good things:
The location is extremely convenient, situated right next to a train station, making it easy to travel around the city.
The common area is well designed and offers games such as pool and chess, creating a nice space to relax and socialize.

The bad things:
The bathroom lacked a shower curtain, which caused water to spread across the entire bathroom after each shower.
Construction was taking place right next to the hotel, starting early in the morning and continuing throughout the day, which made the stay somewhat uncomfortable.
Noise from cleaning in nearby rooms was easily heard in the mornings.
Only paper cups were provided, which felt inconvenient and low-quality for a hotel stay.

Main issue:
The sound insulation was extremely poor. Noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway could be clearly heard, greatly affecting comfort and privacy.

Overall:
L7 Hotel has a great location and some appealing facilities, but several aspects could be improved. Better sound insulation and more investment in room quality would significantly enhance the guest experience.

Location is amazing. It's so close to the subway station and many bus stops. Has so many restaurants and cafes nearby. However, it's a pretty old hotel. Carpet is pretty old and I did find someone's make up on the floor. The biggest con about this hotel is the ELEVATOR!!! It takes forever to come. Once waited 10 minutes for the elevator.

Some thoughts…

- Our room had a tiny bed so I asked to change rooms for a king bed. They said yes but it costs extra and has a single bed in it also. I said is it KING about 4 times they said yes so I said yes. Packed back up the next day checkout @ 11, bags kept in storage. Came back @ 3 to check in again to this new room with a king size bed. The bed is exactly the same size as the original but now we have a single bed also. We can even push them together as they are welded to the ground.
- On google the photos show cabanas by the pool. When I got up there, there was one. 8 lay down sun-beds and the rest uncomfortable chairs . My fault should have checked photos on the website maybe?!?
- Staff are super friendly and kind.
- The buffet breakfast would be a 3/10 for me. Id just go out and get food.
- buffet breakfast coupons?!? First I’ve ever heard of this and you have to bring them every morning even though we have paid for breakfast. If you forget you have to go allllll the way back to your room.
- The bath sits at half full? You have to fill it up and up and up then it empties to half etc. super great when trying to read a book.
- the aircon in our room on the 18 floor is super weak? It wouldn’t go lower than 23 degrees C.
- the laundry facilities are overpriced in my opinion. I understand paying for laundry but paying for the wash and then the dryer seems excessive.
- gym, thumbs down

All in all I wouldn’t stay here again.

We are staying @ another Lotte next! Hope it’s better 🤞

This place is in a great location, just a short walk from many food spots and shopping. There’s also a subway station nearby for easy access. The rooftop bar offers a view and delicious drinks. The rooms are spacious for the area. The only downside that makes it a 4-star hotel is the elevator situation. The lines and wait times are long and frustrating.

Stayed: April 17–25
Rate: SGD 308 per night

Pros:
- Great Location
- The rooms are well-maintained.
- The bed is comfortable.
- Excellent shower.
- Housekeeping is efficient and prompt.

Cons:
- We had issues with the air conditioning; despite adjusting the settings, the temperature kept rising. Because of the thick duvet, we ended up perspiring in our sleep.
- Requested a thinner blanket to help with the heat, but unfortunately, they didn't have any.
- The most disappointing part was the lack of empathy regarding checkout. We requested a late checkout because a friend was unwell, but we were rejected immediately and told we had to pay for a 45-minute extension.

Final Verdict: Expect minimum service and zero flexibility. Only stay here if you are okay with a rigid management style.

Will probably not come back again.
