Hey everyone, I’m a long time reader of this sub and many like it but never a poster, I recently got my surgery and I wanted to share my experience. I went to Woomchan Clinic in South Korea. Before I booked, I really couldn’t find many reviews from foreigners for this specific clinic, so I’m writing this in hopes it helps someone else who is looking around. Booking & Arrival I scheduled my appointment through WhatsApp (I found the number on their website). They were flexible with timing; I actually walked in around 6:00 PM on a Friday night. It turns out the clinic stays open late sometimes to meet customer schedules, which was huge for me since I work full-time. The Translator & Staff When I walked in, my English translator was already in the lobby waiting for me. I cannot stress enough how great she was. Even though the doctor spoke English, she still translated everything I said just to ensure 100% understanding on both sides. She sat with me during breaks and explained every single process to me as it was happening. I was extremely grateful for her support throughout the day; it made the whole thing much less stressful. The Procedure The operation took a little longer than expected, especially the extraction phase. The doctor mentioned he was taking his time because he wanted everything to be perfect. I really appreciated that he didn’t rush just to get it done. I’ll be honest, the numbing process was pretty terrible and it hurt. However, it doesn’t take that long and it was bearable. Hairline Design This was a highlight for me. Prior to implanting the new hair, they asked my opinion multiple times on the hairline design. The doctor also had his nursing staff offer their opinions. As a guy, getting a woman’s perspective on something aesthetic like this felt pretty important. When the doctor was about 90% done with the implants, they actually stopped and handed me the mirror to ask if I liked the hairline. I did, so they went ahead and finished up. Conclusion When we were done, the doctor came to see me personally to say thank you for trusting them and told me to contact them anytime if I had questions. I’m really glad I chose Woomchan. They made me feel comfortable, and I feel like they did a really good job. It’s only Day 2 right now, but I plan to keep updating this thread with my progress! Day 2: I’m going back today to get it washed and shampooed. I’ll edit later on this too. I’ll include some pictures that I took myself, however the hospital took some and I’ll post those once I receive them! Oh they don’t count in grafts they count In hairs, they transplanted around 4500 hairs, they gave me the exact number but I forgot it.. they also show you every graft/hair they extracted prior to implant. Which I really appreciated. As of right now I’m pretty happy with how everything went. Please ask anything if you have any questions.

24M came to Woomchan Hair Transplant Clinic from the US. I wanted to fix my ‘M-hairline’ and got ~3500 hairs (all clinics in korea seem to speak in hairs, not grafts). I actually saw someone recommend them in a Reddit thread and reached out to them. When looking into the clinic, I didn’t see many westerners In their examples, so hopefully this may help anyone else looking for a clinic. I got a FUE transplant with a partial shave (they only shaved the donor area). I came in for a consultation + procedure on one day, and the next day for a check up + shampoo session. I was also given multiple opportunities to make sure I liked the drawn out hairline (even once during the procedure). I liked Dr. Sangyun Hyeon, and enjoyed working with him. He did the whole procedure (with some standby nurses involved as well) and was quite knowledgeable. The Dr. also gave me a brief rundown after the extraction process, showed me a photo of my hair follicles. As a note, he put single hair follicles in the front of the hairline, and used more dense follicles for density areas. The staff acted very quickly and were very kind. The clinic was clean, people were friendly, and they brought in an English translator to make sure my questions were answered. The manager I was speaking with on WhatsApp was very responsive and helpful. Though their English wasn’t the best, but we were able to communicate well enough. While they gave me a small discount to write a review, I’m happy to say that my experience with them has been wonderful! It’s also just the small things, like the doctor walking me out to where my uber was coming that helped the experience overall. Overall, I’d recommend Woomchan for anyone looking to get a hair transplant. I wasn’t fully sure what to expect, but I’m happy so far, and hopefully for good results! Thanks Woomchan!

I had a very positive experience at Woomchan Clinic. The entire staff was incredibly kind, caring, and professional from the moment I arrived. My hair transplant procedure took about 4 hours, and everything went smoothly. The doctor explained every step clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the operation. After the procedure, they gave me detailed instructions and provided excellent post-care support.

The doctor has many years of experience, can speak good English and there are many before and after photos of his work for both men and women available to see while waiting in reception. The results all look very natural. Jin-Young is very helpful and patient answering all my questions and can speak well in English. She is kind and caring person towards all patients so you feel you can trust this clinic. The staff at the front desk also too very friendly and welcoming. There are many hairs clinics in Korea but this clinic seemed much more genuine with my best interests at heart, friendly to foreigners and their prices more fair and reasonable. Just keep in mind their van be a language barrier so make sure you are very very clear to explain what you want and the design and check one more time you and the Dr are on the same page because sometimes the translation is not 100% accurate (I suggest bring your own translator) which can lead to misunderstandings and unmet expectations which can significantly impact surgery results.

At Maoyulin, I got hyaluronic acid fillers for my nasolabial folds. The doctor\'s technique was incredibly gentle—I barely felt the needle. The dosage was generous, and the results aren\'t stiff at all; my smile looks completely natural. The nurse was super gentle when applying the numbing cream, and the whole process took just 20 minutes. It\'s been a week now, and my cheeks are so plump and youthful!

Very pleased with the visit and the surgical procedure for my partner. The staff including the manager were very professional and nice. (Support foreigners, English speakers). The surgeon (Dr. Sang yun Hyun) is very experienced and talented, explained everything in English. We are aiming to share the results later in 6 months. Thank you for the lovely experience.
