Extremely disappointed – complete no-show for a scheduled consultation with Dr. Heo - this review isn't about his surgical skills but only about the communication beforehand. I had a consultation booked with Dr. Heo at IPCHE Plastic Surgery today at 4:30 AM my time (11:30 AM Korean time). I woke up at 4 AM for this appointment after spending the last two months carefully researching him as my top choice for surgery. The doctor never showed up. After waiting a few minutes, I asked the assistant what happened. She told me to wait 15 more minutes. After a full hour with no sign of the doctor, I followed up again. The assistant then apologized and said the doctor had an emergency. She offered to reschedule but provided no real explanation or proactive communication during the long wait. This wasn’t just an inconvenience — it was a significant waste of my time and energy. I had already been checking flights for a potential trip to Korea (15+ hour flight) and was genuinely excited about moving forward. Instead, I’m left feeling depressed and back to square one with my research. While I understand emergencies can happen, the lack of timely communication and respect for the patient’s schedule (especially one set at an awkward early hour) is very concerning. It makes me question how reliable the clinic would be for post-operative care if something goes wrong after I return home. They don't value other people's time. We are all busy in Life. Also it is not an excuse as they offer "free consultation". They make us rather pay for an online consultation and stick to it. Unfortunately, this is the second negative experience I’ve had with them regarding scheduling and communication (also some kind of "emergency" happend. Might just be another factory company where they have so many clients and actually not enough time. I won’t be trusting them with my face. Other patients should be aware and decide for themselves. I want to mention though that his assistant seems very nice and she tried to help beforehand and sent me a lot of information regarding surgery, hotels around, handling, also sent me all the information regarding the price which was very kind of her.

**Disappointing experience with consultation scheduling** I first contacted this clinic through KakaoTalk about lifting surgery approximately one year ago. Because I live in the United States, I was told that I could contact the clinic in advance before a future visit to Korea and arrange a consultation. In May, I requested a consultation between June 20 and June 26. I was told to first transfer a 30,000 KRW consultation fee by bank transfer, and that the only available appointment was June 27. Since I live abroad, my sister transferred the fee for me. I explained again that I was scheduled to return to the United States before June 27 and politely asked whether an appointment before June 25 could be arranged. Unfortunately, I did not receive a clear or helpful response, and I ultimately had to return to the U.S. without ever having the consultation. What was most disappointing was the difference in communication compared with a year earlier, when I had been told that arranging a consultation would be possible when I visited Korea. I had sincerely hoped to consult with Dr. Jae Won Hur and potentially have surgery there, but I was not given an opportunity even to meet the doctor. I believe the clinic’s director should be aware of how overseas patients can be treated during the scheduling process. Clear communication, consideration of international travel schedules, and a more respectful response would make a meaningful difference.

I found out about this clinic while looking around for recommendations. The head doctor is incredibly kind and highly professional, so I feel completely confident in them!

I had my cheekbones and facelift done here at the same time. I recommend doing them together if you have prominent cheekbones when getting a facelift. I went for a follow-up appointment today after 6 months, and I was shocked when I saw my before photos haha. I am completely satisfied with the results!! The director and all the staff are kind, and the clinic is clean.😊

This was my first time visiting. I was very grateful for the prompt and courteous communication. The clinic is apparently newly renovated, and the space is very clean and lovely. This time I came for liposuction under the chin, but I would definitely like to ask for your help again if I need it again!

We visited this place after a friend recommended it to us. Thanks to making a reservation, it wasn't crowded! I had a facial contouring consultation with Dr. Jo Hyun-woo, and my mom had a facelift consultation with Dr. Heo Jae-won. We decided right away! ^^ My mom was initially hesitant, but after seeing Dr. Heo Jae-won's facelift tips and the signage, she immediately said she'd do it. Haha Both doctors gave me thorough consultations, and they diagnosed my face perfectly, giving me complete confidence! The doctors and staff were all very friendly, and the friendly atmosphere was impressive. My mom, you've worked so hard, but I hope you get a facelift and neck lift so you can live happily, looking 20 years younger. ❤️ I've often heard that I look a bit harsh, so I'm planning on getting cheekbone and square jaw surgery to give me a softer look! I'm so excited!! 🌟

This hospital doesn't refund deposits if you cancel after paying them. Other hospitals do, but not here. I reported it to the Korea Consumer Agency and asked for a refund, but they refused. What a great hospital... Even if the law says they should refund the deposit, they probably know they can't sue for the costs, so they just refuse. This is against the law, so what about other hospitals? Please refer to this when choosing a plastic surgery hospital in Gangnam.
