Xenia Hotel

I stayed here during my trip to Jeju Island in mid-April. The hotel bed was quite hard, and after five days, my back ached. The worst part was that the air conditioning in the room was completely unusable; it didn't even ventilate. So I slept with the window open for all five nights (otherwise it was a bit stuffy). Although the front desk didn't give a reason, they only said that if I really couldn't stand it, they could turn on the air conditioning in our room separately. I figured everyone's experiencing this, so I should just go with the flow. Honestly, this was the first time I'd had this experience with a hotel during my countless trips to Korea 😅 Finally, I have to praise the hotel's location; it's in a bustling area with everything you need for shopping and sightseeing 👍

Good decent hotel very close to a lot of amenities. Ideal for travellers who won’t be driving

The hotel is conveniently located in a lively city area, surrounded by restaurants and office buildings. However, the decor throughout the hotel, including the room, feels quite old-fashioned and dated.

Communication was a bit challenging because the Korean front desk staff didn’t speak English, and my Korean is very limited, so I had to rely on Google Translate. Later on, I found out that some of the staff were from China and assumed I spoke Chinese, so they talked to me in Chinese right away.

Both the TV and AC remotes in the room were only in Korean, and instructions in Chinese were available at the front desk. It seems that the hotel mainly caters to Chinese-speaking guests. I ended up using Google Translate again to figure things out.

Clean & good air-conditioning. Good location. Staff on duty are friendly, however housekeeping can do a better job; we stayed 4 nights and on the third day upon returning to our room we found a bag of rubbish resting on the dressing table
