Rooms were the downfall. Everything was fine for a 4* hotel.
Room was pretty worn down with stains and tears everywhere
Toilet seating position made no sense and doesn’t accommodate tall individuals (6ft tall)
Hallways outside of hotel room was also very worn and dripping water.
Bedding gave off a lot of stuffing/lint and A/C unit was above bed always gave off a notable hum and light at night which can’t be turned off while the unit is in use.
Buffet was not worth the 155 cad (includes 10% discount for staying at the hotel) at the time I paid for 2 people. Food is hit or miss. Some things were well done while others not so much. Could definitely get better value at another place.
TLDR: Not 4* quality but for the price I paid it is acceptable.
The hotel itself is quite old, currently undergoing renovation, and the rooms are definitely showing their wear and tear, needing some fixing. There's also a noticeable lack of a shower curtain in the bathrooms, which leads to water spraying everywhere when you take a shower. However, the lobby is nice, and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The location and service were excellent, but the walls are very thin, and noise from neighboring rooms having sex can be heard at night 😳
This hotel has an excellent location
Very close to Red line and Sinsa station. Traveling from the airport is also very convenient. The limosin bus leaves right at the door step.
The rooms are old fashioned frankly and the interior needs refurb. The staffs are friendly though.

Welcome to the 1980s! Which is when this hotel was built. And it has vast amounts of marble, mirrors and gilt to match that era. The staff were very helpful, once they had recovered from the shock of me arriving in reception by bicycle (I was cycle touring) & a staff member quickly whisked away my wheels to safe overnight storage in the luggage room. Another helpful member of staff showed me to my room & helped carry my bags - thank you! I had a look at (but didn’t eat in) the evening buffet - which was incredible, an amazing array of food. The pool was a disappointment. It would’ve cost me an extra 11,000 KWN to get access to it & the spa (nice steam rooms & hot tubs) but the pool wasn’t that big or that nice. And you have to have a swim cap. I was told I could walk to the nearest Daiso to buy one (almost half a kilometer away.. it was raining & I was tired) - you’d think they’d provide swim caps if they’re required (or at least have some to sell to guests) but no. Seems cheap for a hotel that’s trying to be upmarket. No Han River view from the rooms by the way. Most expensive place I stayed at on my 4 week entire trip. An interesting experience, professional staff, but not good value for money.
