We landed in Seoul late and didn’t want to travel to Center of Seoul right away. Chanced upon Stanford Hotel from Trip app. Room for 2 was well equipped and furnitured with the small space. I am most impressed with the Gym and Sauna space. Altho, slightly disappointed Guest also has to pay for usages of the Pool.
Would return again as it is value for price
This hotel gets slated on Kakao maps, so I thought I'd take the chance to give my opinion. It's really not that bad. I liked the breakfast. They had a decent amount of choices. Western options and Korean style. The coffee was pretty good. They had a salad bar, and lots of smoked salmon. My one suggestion is that they up their bread game. Add a crust loaf and some croissants, and it will be great. Also, improve the yogurt quality. The rooms were decent. Nothing fancy, but the inclusion of a bathtub was great. The soundproofing isn't up to standard, but it's not totally terrible. The public areas are well maintained and the staff are nice. The area is quiet and well connected via bus. The nearest metro is about 15 minutes walk.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights last week. It's modern and clean. However the breakfast is terrible and amongst the worst we've ever had. On our first morning all the hot food was freezing cold. It turned out the kitchen had forgotten to turn on the hot trays. We asked for a refund which the hotel gave. The following morning the food was warm but not hot. The toasting machine wouldn't work because all the controls had been turned to zero. The overall breakfast display is not very inspiring. Save your money and go to a coffee shop round the corner instead.
The service and facility is not like 4 star hotel.
They said check-in at 3 pm, but I need to wait until 4 pm til I can get to my room.
They said they will bring my luggage to my room, after waiting a while I still did not get my luggage in my room. Then I called and they said we need to bring our own luggage.
You need to pay when you want to swim in their swimming pool.
They don't provide drinking water/fountain. Even the 3-star hotel will provide it in Seoul.
Their breakfast menu are exactly the same everyday.
We stayed here for a soccer game at the worldcup stadium. I was expecting four star hotel but it felt more like three star at best. We had to switch rooms because of heavy smell of cigarettes and unfortunately the second room also smelled of cigarettes. I believe all the rooms are carpeted and looks to be the original carpet when the hotel was first built in the hayday. So expect to have cigarette smelling rooms no matter the room.
The age showed as the cloth covered seats along with the carpet both had stains.
Bathroom was clean tho. And bedsheets also seem clean.
They did have some facilities but you had to pay to use them. They do give you coupon book when checking in to use at the facilities.
It is conveniently located for working people on business trip.
