Overall, the stay was pleasant. However, the experience was significantly impacted by multiple service issues, particularly involving a front desk staff member.
While my group and I were having a normal conversation in the lobby, we were abruptly told to “shush” in a manner that felt disrespectful. Notably, other guests had been speaking loudly prior to this without any intervention, which made the situation feel unfairly directed at us.
As Muslim guests staying at the hotel for seven days, this interaction came across as discriminatory and left us uncomfortable. Additionally, as we were leaving the lobby, the staff member’s facial expressions and demeanor further reinforced this negative impression.
Such behavior is unprofessional and not in line with the level of service expected in hospitality. This incident unfortunately overshadowed an otherwise good stay.
From the first day of check-in, the level of service was already lacking. We had provided our physical hotel vouchers for ease of reference, yet there was little effort made to deliver a smooth or welcoming check-in experience.
Separately, while the room amenities included coffee sachets, a hot water pot, and cups, basic items such as stirrers were not provided, which was an inconvenience. We also experienced an issue on our last night where one of our key cards did not work, causing further disruption.
The hotel may wish to review its staff training and service standards, particularly in areas of empathy, courtesy, and cultural sensitivity, to ensure all guests feel respected and welcome.
Based on this experience, this will be my first and final stay at this hotel. I would not return, nor would I recommend this property to anyone expecting a reasonable level of service. Guests may wish to consider other hotels in Seogwipo that offer more professional and consistent hospitality standards.

Bad Staff Service. Horrible attitude and poor service. Staffs are rude and impatient with questions, and would roll their eyes at enquiring guests. They would pretend to not know English and ignore you. Their attitude is something you just would not expect from a service line staff in the tourism industry. Overall experience is poor.

This place has gone so downhill over recent years. The management are 100 percent to blame and they seem to care not one bit..
Lazy, unfriendly and frankly filthy rooms. Don't believe me, just wipe any floor with a tissue and see.
Nothing gets cleaned properly, sinks counters everything is dirty and the front desk staff are too unfriendly.
Not sure what happened but I just can't recommend this place.

The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are excellent. However, the hallway could use some renovation, and the common area has a noticeable smoke odor. The front desk was unresponsive to calls, which was inconvenient. Despite these issues, the price offers great value for the quality provided.

A budget place for sure but the price/service ratio is excellent. The rooms are simple but tidy and in good condition. The breakfasts are basic but varied and delicious. The staff is polite, helpful and speaks great english (the reception) which was a much appreciated courtesy, so overall a great experience. The real kicker is the location though - close to all major Seogwippo landmarks. Definitely recommend.
