Mi Stay Hotel in StarBnB

Booked a 4D3N at Mi Stay after reading the reviews. Given the convenience and cleanliness and if I’m considering air b&b as my accommodation if I visit Daegu again, I wouldn’t mind staying here.

I like the location of this Air b&b. It is convenient, walking distance around 10mins to daegu station and has plenty of food and cafes in its surrounding including 7-11 and GS25. It is also walking distance to several attractions.

I’m unable to rate the service as everything is self service. The only time I encountered their staff was when I needed help and was lucky to encounter the laundry personnel.

She helped me to call the staff in charge and an ahjusshi appeared. You’ll have to use a translator for ease of communication as they ain’t well versed in English.

I asked if I’m able to check in as I arrived at 2.30pm however, he showed me checked in has to be done via the machine. There’s no exception for early check in hence, it will be chargeable as check ins are strictly at 4pm. So I asked if there’s a locker for me to keep my luggage for 1.5hrs.

For check ins, you’ll have to head to level 3. There will be a machine to process both your check in and check out (11am) there. You’ll have to input your name and necessary info to receive the keycard from the machine. It’s the same process as per check out but you have to insert the keycard back into the machine. Please note that there’s only 2 lift and it takes some time to arrive so I suggest to leave your air b&b slightly earlier.

Room is clean and spacious for solo traveler. Space might be a constraint for 2 big luggages.

I like that there’s utensils and plates, microwave, a huge fridge, washing machine and they have this special dryer which miraculously helps to ease the crease. Also, they have Netflix so you can watch kdramas with English subtitles when you’re back in your room.

They provide laundry detergent, toiletries including toothpaste but I didn’t use it (I’ve OCD) as the big tube of toothpaste seems to be shared by everyone who used the space.

Air b&b seems clean but you need to separate your trash between plastic, paper and food. You’ll need to discard your trash at the ground floor where there will be separate bins for you to throw your trash.

Only thing to note would be security. The building is accessible to anyone as it’s not a private housing estate where you need to enter passcode to access the building or security guard. There was a night where someone tried to open my door as it triggered my alarm and thankfully, the person was gone and didn’t return back.

on the second last night, there was a smell emitting from the sink/pipe. Since I’m hardly in the room, I continued staying in the room despite the smell as it’ll be a hassle to pack my cluttered stuffs and to change room for 1 night.

Very bad experience!
They confirmed my booking at Agoda but didn’t send me any checking details or even room number. And they didn’t answer to my messages.
The worst service.
And I’m 100% sure that I stayed at Mi Stay.
Important moment: that answered to me here but on private messages at Agoda. Lol
They hired support for answering in social media that all problems of guests are mistakes of the guests themselves. But they don’t have a support for helping the guests with check-in process.
So disrespectful for the guests. You just think a priori that all your clients are stupid and don’t know which accommodation they booked?

“Everything you need in a simple apartment”
There was no staff to be seen, nor interacted with, but the residence had everything needed for a traveler, or even for a longer term stay. The location is in a hip area with lots of restaurants and bars. Really appreciated all the amenities in the apartment, especially the very high tech cloth dryer and sanitizer!

Perfect stay for traveler
I really enjoy the place and the location was perfect where it located in downtown and it is safe in that area and lots of restaurant in with good Korean food
