Luxe Hotel, Seoul

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing.

From the moment we arrived, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The rooms were dirty, and despite repeated requests, housekeeping was inconsistent at best—we literally had to ask multiple times just to get the rooms cleaned. We booked two rooms, and both had the same issue. Promises were made by the staff, but often not followed through.

Although the property is advertised as a “hotel,” it felt much more like a low-standard motel. The rooms were very small, poorly ventilated, and uncomfortable to stay in.

Breakfast was also misleading. It was advertised as included, but in reality, the only option available was instant ramen noodles in the morning, which we chose not to eat.

One of the biggest downsides is the location. It is far from most tourist areas (around 11–13 km), which ends up being a 30–40 minute ride each way, making it very inconvenient for travelers.

To be fair, some members of the staff were polite and tried to be helpful, which we appreciated. However, this did not make up for the overall poor experience.

Additionally, our experience with Booking.com was very disappointing. Due to a 24-hour flight delay, we tried to request a refund for the first night or adjust our booking dates, but both the hotel and Booking.com ignored our request entirely.

Overall, this stay did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price we paid. We would not recommend this property.

The room was in good condition. The staff were friendly. After checking in, a kiosk gave me my card key and room number. I pressed the checkout button at the kiosk and inserted my card. I could purchase disposable items for 1,000 won. It seemed like they also rented chargers. I'm not sure if they're free. It's not soundproof. I could hear the bathroom door in the next room opening. Haha. The door creaked so loudly because they were going in and out so often. I was a little taken aback. The communal music was playing at 1 a.m., so I called and asked, and they immediately turned it off. There are also 24-hour restaurants and good restaurants nearby.

It's clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with water, drinks, and towels.

The remote control is integrated with not only the TV but also the lights and air conditioning, allowing you to control everything without leaving your bed.

It was clean and nice. I asked for extra water and towels. Five bottles of water... It was touching service.

Zero service! Just look at the way the woman at the front desk spoke... Ugh, I really stepped in dog poop.

They didn't even clean the refrigerator, so they just left the previous guest's half-empty cola in it. Is this supposed to be a gift for me? What the hell are they doing??
