Very well-designed and thoughtfully curated boutique hotel with a unique French and Chinese atmosphere and décor. The furniture and decoration throughout the hotel are beautiful, with great attention paid to even the smallest details.

The room was very comfortable, especially the bed and linens. Of course, both the room and bathroom were impeccably clean. The team was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

Breakfast was of high quality, refined, and beautifully presented.

Cons
The location is not ideal, and a taxi is needed for almost every trip.

I have never stayed in such a beautifully designed hotel starting from the entrance, continues to the room.

But the service is the worst I had starting from the entrance , continues to all levels.

Concierge is on the first floor, reception at 7. No one helped me with my luggage in such a ‘luxury branded 5 star hotel’.

Reception was worse. The first woman who welcomed me blocked two of my credit cards ! After her first trials of each card, I told her that she had to find another way to let me enter my pin for security reasons (for 8 nights, the amount required my pin code). She continued to do the same again and again and finally after warning massages, I received last messages from two of my banks that my credit cards were momentarily blocked. I was really angry (especially after 14 hours flight) and got frustrated after she asked me if I had another credit card or maybe I could pay in cash !!! (No wonder there is a warning on the screen of the laptop on the desk that the guests should not get angry! Please see it in the photos. I clearly shows that I was not the only one they drove crazy) . When I was talking to my banks to clear my cards, another woman came to take care of me and I was able to pay in 1 minute.

I can only say there was house keeping because my bed was always made. Other then that, some days even the garbage was not taken away, sheets were not changed even once in 8 nights, the bath room was never cleaned (they just changed the towels regularly), neither the carpet in the room.

The only good service I got was in the bar on 26th floor and at the beautiful Chinese restaurant on 6th floor including their tea saloon. Thank you very much.

Breakfast was good but very limited.

I will never come to this hotel again altough I plan to come to lovely Seoul next year again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it’s in a fantastic location - easy walk to myeongdong and subway is on your doorstep! The staff are all very polite and friendly, and we received a free upgrade to a larger room which was just sensational and so comfortable for a 4 night stay. It was like having our own apartment, so roomy! Also recommend the bar on the top floor, cool decor and atmosphere there. Would happily stay here again, 5 Stars!

One of the greatest hotels I've ever stayed in. Perfection from start to finish.
I should mention I'm a Marriott Platinum, which meant I was given a room upgrade and free breakfast.
But the hotel itself is a masterpiece. Absolutely beautiful, incredible attention to detail, and a genuinely lovely place to spend time - no generic boring hotel room!
We were given a Junior Suite, which was huge. The lounge area had comfortable sofas, there was a big desk for work, the bed was supremely comfortable.... And the bathroom with the freestanding bath was lovely. I must also highlight the tablet which allows control of the room lights, blinds, curtains, and to request service. Everything was impeccable. Breakfast was served on the 7th floor, with a choice of the "conservatory" - a bright, light filled space with greenery - or the "library" - full of real bookshelves!
The hotel's French style is attended to on every level. The lift speaks French. The butter is French. The salt and pepper shakers are French.
Truly one of the best hotels in Seoul, if not the world. I cannot recommend it more. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Very good location at Myeongdong area.
Stayed here for 5nights.
Quiet and not too far from Myeongdong night market.
Facilities are quite new.
Am a bonvoy titanium card holder and so got free upgrade from classic room to secret room.
Chosen free Breakfast since I’m at titanium level.
There’s a small dim sum section at the breakfast corner. About 6cold dishes, spicy pork stew, steam rice, beef bulgogi, french toast, smoked salmon and sweet sauce grilled salmon, scrambled egg, croissants, bread, apple juice, grapefruit juice, yogurt, 2 coffee machines, an egg station for making omelets/sunny side up.

Lights and Curtains in the room can be controlled via automation.
The electrical point is UK & universal, with a usb A port.
There’s no level 13 in the hotel, & there isn’t any room that is numbered 13.

Take note the toothbrush and bath salt is chargeable.
Luckily I’ve the habit of bringing my own toothpaste and toothbrush.

This hotel is deemed luxury and while it is certainly well designed the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. For instance the black marble is showing its age. I think due to lack of cleaning. There was a bandage (from previous tenant) stuck to the shower wall for two days before I cleaned it myself. I didn’t want my bare feet touching the floors it was that bad. I also had really low water pressure I called and they it fixed immediately and asked for a room cleaning but it still was disappointing in a room priced like it is and with a luxury tag.

While I was there on the last day I tried to attend breakfast but they stated they were full. As I was standing denied, there was a group that left and a person that entered. Like I’m a paying hotel tenant too. It was humiliating and left a bad taste.

My recommendation is to stay at one of the Hyatt properties. It’s better appointed and you get a cleaner room. Also for the price it should be better service.
