Hotel Lake

I booked this hotel because I needed to stay near Jamsil. I checked in around 8:40 PM and immediately discovered you can’t control the heater/AC in the room. The automatic setting was around 83 F., and the room felt unbearably hot, stuffy, and smelled bad—like a local sauna. I went to the front desk and was moved to another room on a different floor, but it was the same: hot and stinky. At 9pm, I went back downstairs and requested a refund so I could stay elsewhere. Instead, they charged my card a 100 USD fee for “using the room,” even though I didn’t unpack or use the bathroom. I also apologized to the front desk staff for the inconvenience, but I was ignored. Save your money and time—avoid this hotel please 🙏🏻. Thank me later

They recently renovated and the facilities are clean and neat, with great views of the seokchon lake!

It's good hotel by price. Near subway line 9. The room is quite big and clean. There are bath and shower cabin in the room.
Be careful with air-conditioning: it's remote by tv control. I can recommend it, but it far from downtown. About 1 hour by subway

Pros:
* Amazing location if your goal is to visit Lotte World and its immediate surrounding attractions.

* Free parking! This is a huge benefit in Seoul where parking is hard to find and the fees are notoriously expensive.

* Fantastic value

Cons:
* Noise. Because it's directly across the street from Lotte World, you'll hear traffic as well as the screams of folks being tosses into the air from Lotte World's rides.

All in all, I loved my stay at Hotel Lake and would 100% stay again.

Everything was more than promised! Close to high quality and takeout food! Shopping within walking distance! Scenic views of Lotte World which is also in walking distance! Huge bathrooms and tubs plus shower! All staff was awesome too! I definitely enjoyed my stay!
