Hotel Kukdo

Booked 2 double room and both were good. Room is well kept and location is walkable to major shopping districts. Train line near hotel brings you to a lot of destinations too.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel looks old but has been well renovated. The location is convenient, close to several subway lines. Airport limousine line 6015 stops right in front of the hotel, or you can take subway line 1 to Jongno 3 station and then walk about 1 kilometer via the skywalk. Breakfast options aren't extensive, but they include both Korean and Western dishes. The hotel isn't soundproof, so you can hear noise from the street. There is a convenience store on the first floor.

We chose this hotel for our South Korea holiday. It was within walking distance of the metro, making it an ideal location for transportation. The staff spoke English. And they were very helpful. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here next time we come.

The room was spacious and very clean, which we appreciated. However, we did have an issue with the temperature — it became uncomfortably warm at night, even with the windows open. We were told that the AC isn’t turned on because some guests find it too cold, but it would be much better if rooms had individual temperature control so everyone can be comfortable.

Additionally, the front desk staff could be more welcoming. Our interactions felt a bit curt, which affected the overall experience.

Great space, but improvements in climate control and service would make the stay much better.
