Hotel Insomnia, Daegu

I visited Daegu for the first time in the early morning of February 16, 2026. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the male front desk staff member who was on duty around 6:00 AM that day. His kindness and professional hospitality made me feel so welcome. Thanks to him, my first impression of Daegu was wonderful, and his help meant a lot to me. Thank you again for the great experience!

First time visiting Daegu (or Korea for that matter) and the location of this hotel is amazing. We could walk straight from the bus station and it's located right in the busy center. We were afraid the hotel would be really noisy because of this but we had a really chill and quiet stay. The breakfast is elaborate with a good balance between western and Korean food. Big highlight is the instand noodle cooker 😍

Clean and comfortable rooms and beds. Decent and separate bathroom from room. Quiet even when is really well located in middle of town

Great hotel! The cleanest hotel we got to stay in South Korea, very well balanced breakfast and cloth sanitizer in the room! Great job for the owner!

Hotel Insomnia is a great hotel right in the center of bustling Daegu.

The rooms are spacious, with ample resources such as moisturiser, free soft drinks, hair dryers, straighteners etc. with walk-in showers and great air conditioning.

The manager was so kind to us - as we were going to a wedding my trousers and shirt were completely creased so she offered to straighten them for me, so kind of her. She is also extremely helpful in providing information about the area.

The breakfast here is also quite nice - some fresh fruit and different options such as toast, croissants and nice coffee.

I don't normally review hotels but I felt obliged to recommend this to anyone staying in Daegu. It's a perfect location and is modern, clean and with friendly staff!
