Very helpful staff. Easy access to food places and 24 how mart. Nice view of sea.
We stay there for 3 nights. Room is very spacious have have a good view of sunrise from our bed.
Parking is ample as they have 4 parking locations now.
Staff is helpful to advise on things like road directions.
The size of the room was nice and it had a lot of counter space for the room with the king bed and 2 futons. However, I was disappointed on the design of the room. There is a step down by the entrance and a step up by the bathroom. Numerous times this caused us to trip. My mother, who is in her 80’s, had a difficult time stepping into and out of the bathtub. There are 3 areas to park, all were filled by 7pm. There is a free lot nearby, but it was really inconvenient when it was pouring down rain and there are no parking spaces in the front to load up our bags. It makes sense to reserve at least one spot for loading/unloading. There is a kiosk to check in and the process lacked friendly customer service. The top reason why I would not book this hotel again is because they use some awful fragrance in the lobby and hallways, probably to cover up the insecticide. I felt like I was going to choke from the smell (baby powder and fake flowers?) We actually didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel because of the stench. The views of the water are obstructed by the building in front.
I feel like this place is OK in theory but practically not great. Location is good if you want or need to be down by the peer but there is no real beach access. There is the rocky water access down the street. On a Tuesday we had a really hard time finding dinner places open. We walked for 1 1/2 hours. Their restaurant and coffee shops were closed the whole time. Breakfast was OK. Decent selection. It’s the little things, like only getting one glass per room. Having to pay to rent towels.
But everything is just very basic, just the minimum the hotel can do to call it 3 star. Everything is a little run down, some things a little dirty (like the pool chairs). No way escape the sun on the rooftop pool, just get some umbrellas. They say no outside drinks the pool area but they closed down the bar up here. While we were here it felt a bit like a run down ghost town. Just a bit sad and cold.
We stayed at The Fine Hotel Jeju and overall had a mixed experience.
Pros:
• Great location: the hotel is in a quiet area, but still very accessible. Bus 600 (the airport–Jungmun–Seogwipo line) stops right in front, which is super convenient for getting around.
• Jeju City center and the local market are only a 10-minute walk away.
• The hotel is clean, and the rooms are generally comfortable.
Cons:
• The staff spoke very limited English, which made communication a bit tricky at times.
• The beds were standard size, so quite narrow for two adults.
• One of the windows in our suite was cracked and patched with tape — not ideal.
• Our room wasn’t cleaned by default. We later learned we had to press the “Make the Room” button, but usually that button is for out-of-hours requests, so we didn’t realize. Instead, they left clean towels in a plastic bag in front of our door.
• The breakfast was overpriced and disappointing. At 7am, the fruit salad was 80% made of frozen fruit cubes, and the guacamole tasted like overripe avocado — not fresh. That said, I’ll admit the overall buffet had a good amount of variety.
• Rooftop pool and bar were closed during our stay, which was disappointing.
A few nice points, but definitely room for improvement.
