Hotel Dono

TlI give 5 stars because this should be a five star hotel. Just a few niggles. No one supervising breakfast, so no beans in the coffee machine. A noisy fan in the bathroom. But when you can upgrade from basic to top floor suite with terrace and view of the city walls for just 20,000 won (£10) per night - there’s really nothing to complain about!

No, this was not it. Excellent location but that's about it.

While trying to find my painkillers I found a large layer of dust under the fridge - this is a serious health hazard. Told the girl behind the reception and she barely responded. Breakfast had a lack of information about the dishes which for me as a vegetarian is a problem. Also: dark, moody, and the breakfast lady just sits on her phone and is not welcoming at all. Room ok except for the insane layer of dust.

We enjoyed our stay here! The room was neat, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Having a terrace was a big plus. It was so nice to sit out in the morning with coffee.

The location is excellent, just walking distance to Hwaseong Fortress and surrounded by cafes, a cultural center, convenience stores, bars, and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Breakfast could be improved, but honestly not a deal breaker given everything else. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay if you’re visiting the area.

Large hotel that is in a good location. Very good breakfast with lots of choice.
Opted for the larger room with veranda. This was certainly a good choice with a good view of the fortress.

Stayed here on my motorcycle tour of Korea a few nights ago. Very reasonable price for a very comfortable room that even has a massage chair.. perfect for unwinding after a long day's riding. Very close to the fort and not too far from the mural art.
