Courtyard by Marriott Suwon

Very well managed, super service, family friendly and great modern hotel. The breakfast was a delight.
The wine bar was really appreciated by us. Great selections, if you miss superb wine.

Great location, connected to the galleria department store at B1F. Breakfast at Suwon Kitchen was good with the friendly staffs. It would be better if there are some more dishes to eat.
The executive lounge is good with some figer foods. Actually there are fried rice and cup ramyeons as well, you can have your dinner at here. As there are too many people, yiu should make a line to get the foods. I satisfied and enjoyed with the alcohols here.
The room condition was fine, except the water purifier is in the restroom. I recommend this hotel for your stay as family trip and business trip.

Awesome stay!! The rooms were so comfortable and spacious with the great view. The location was so strategic with a connecting door with the mall Galleria. It was easy to find a convenient store, restaurant and shop . The food was very yummy, and the service was so amazing! We always got difficulties searching taxis, but they always try their best in helping us. On the second day, in the morning it was raining and we were in a hurry and it was so hard to find a taxi and then the guy ( I don’t know the name) pick us up from the bus stop and helped us to find the taxi. When we checked out, we needed a taxi to go to Seoul, it was so hard to find a taxi that can fit 4 luggages, a lot of bags and a stroller, but they helped us pick the right taxi for that. Thank God we met Daeny and her friend ( Hillary maybe I forgot) who helped us called the taxis one by one and ask whether the want to pick us, and finally we got the taxi due to her help. Thank you so much Daeny!! Feel so blessed met nice people here. Will be back here again!!

I was disappointed that my Premier Suite booking was not extended to an Executive Suite upgrade despite my Bonvoy Titanium status. In hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t book a standard room in hopes of receiving a suite upgrade.

Upon arrival, the suite smelled musty due to the lack of air conditioning—only weak exterior air was circulating. The issue was temporarily resolved for one night, but the room became warm again on subsequent nights. After struggling to sleep on the third night as the temperature rose, I contacted the service team, who reactivated the AC. On the fourth night, the hotel provided a standing air cooler, which helped but emitted a constant hum throughout the night.

I specifically chose a Marriott property expecting reliable basics like air conditioning, so it was disappointing that guest comfort appeared to be compromised intermittently to save on operational costs.

Additionally, the shower drain was partially clogged, causing water to pool up to about 1 cm while showering. There was also a faint sewage odor when this occurred during the first three nights.

I would also advise guests to secure their luggage or valuables when out of the room. While I am not directly accusing anyone, I discovered that one of my GAP t-shirts went missing from my garment bag the night before checkout. I reported this to the hotel, but the response was rather casual, with only a brief apology.

On a positive note, the frontline staff were responsive via the Marriott app and were genuinely apologetic about the service lapses. I made sure to tell them that these issues stemmed from room maintenance (clogged drains) and operational decisions (AC control), not from their efforts.

It’s a beautiful property with very comfortable beds, and I sincerely hope management will address the maintenance concerns and ensure the AC remains consistently operational to maintain guest comfort.

I stayed in this hotel for 9 days with my kid (toddler) and wiife. I am very satisfied with my experience in this hotel. They provide a bed guard for my room to protect my kid safety. The breakfast buffet is wonderful since it has many fruits and vegetables for my 1 year old kid, which is important for us since it is difficult to get fruit and vegetables in nearby Korean restaurant. The room is also spacious. The location is also convent since it is connected to nearby department store. The only thing I think can be improved is the glass cover for the bathroom is too small so it is easy to spill water out when taking a shower. The overall experience is very good for my family trip
