Choansan Camping Area

This campground is very well-maintained. Manner time begins at 9 a.m., and it's completely quiet by 11 p.m. It can be noisy on weekends, but generally quietens down by 11 p.m. However, there was a family that left early in the morning. They were making noises and starting their cars at 5 a.m. While the campground is well-maintained, rude behavior from visitors can ruin your camping experience.

It's a low hill, but it holds a lot of meaning.
It's great for a walk, as it's home to the royal tombs of the eunuchs and the court ladies.
It's affordable and the facilities are excellent.
It's easily accessible.
It's close to Exit 4 of Nokcheon Station.
The sites are well-spaced and peaceful.
It has a distinct autumnal feel.
It feels like you're deep in the mountains, with autumn foliage and a lush forest, creating a wonderful camping atmosphere.
At night, the stars are abundant, which is nice.
It seems like a lot of locals use it, and many people seem to set up tents and move around from their homes.
Some people drink and talk loudly until dawn.
Some people even leave their engines running all night, and the conversations of people walking early in the morning are loud.
There are some downsides, but it's life in the wild, so I guess you have to accept that to a certain extent.

The facilities are well-equipped for car camping. It is also very convenient for backpacking due to its proximity to public transportation. The car camping sites were spaced far apart, so it wasn't too noisy. Firewood is not allowed, but charcoal is permitted. The store sells almost everything you need and rents out fire pit sets at a reasonable price, so you can fully enjoy the experience even if you haven't prepared enough food. Additionally, the walking trail on Mt. Choan connected to the campsite is well-maintained with gentle slopes, making it great for a stroll. It was a pity that the shower facilities were unavailable due to COVID-19. Overall, it was great to be able to use good facilities at an affordable price so close to Seoul.

This well-maintained campground is easily accessible from Seoul, equipped with all the basic camping facilities. Nearby is Choansan Sports Park, which includes a soccer field, tennis courts, and badminton courts. Ttukttak Children's Playground, Generation Empathy Park, and Wildflower Fragrance Garden are also nearby. A library is also nearby, and Biseokgol Neighborhood Park in front of Wolgye High School is a further walk past the summit. Choansan is a child-friendly, low mountain (115m) that can be reached in 30 minutes, making it a popular destination for families with young children.
