Clean hotel in the bustling Gupo area
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Browndot Hotel in Deokcheon, and I was thoroughly impressed by the level of customer service I received. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The room itself was clean but not very well maintained.
The hotel was also conveniently located, with easy access to local attractions and transportation.
We stayed here with my high school seniors. The twin room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was a bit hard, so it was a bit unusual. The only downside was the heated floor, which was nice. We also had access to Netflix, which was great.
I was surprised by the variety of breakfast options I hadn't seen anywhere else.
And the hospitality.
You can spread strawberry jam on sliced bread and round bread, and there's also cup ramen, milk, orange juice, coffee, and even snacks to mix with milk. There are also large computer screens and two massage chairs. If I had gone with a friend, I could have used the massage chairs, but I was alone, so it was a shame.
Next time, it's a long way from Busan Station, but I brought business cards and a photo.
I've heard that some motel owners offer small discounts if you pay in cash instead of through an app, so I decided to ask again this time.
I was traveling alone as a woman, and since I planned to stay only for three hours without using the amenities or shower, I explained my situation and asked the owner if she could lower the hourly room rate if I paid in cash. However, she told me the rate was 30,000 won because there were no rooms available at the moment, not what was listed on the price list. I had checked and found that the hourly rate on the *Here** app was 25,000 won.
When I said I would pay via the app instead of cash, the owner replied that she had blocked the 25,000 won room because there were none available right now. I didn't get a good feeling about this, so I paid 25,000 won via the app right then and there. Only then did she say that there is a fee for using the app and that she would upgrade me to a better room if I just paid in cash. Thinking she didn't know how to negotiate, I went up to my room without saying a word.
To avoid getting upset, don't try to haggle with the owner; just book cleanly through the app.
