Time Travelers Party Hostel in Hongdae

sooooo disgusting, literally watched one of the staff just fold the blanket when someone checked out, didn’t change the sheets or pillow case at all. The sheets had stains and crumbs all over, the shower and toilet were so disgusting. To be honest I think it’s just lazy and feral that they don’t clean anything especially with the fact that it was low key not that cheap to stay there. Maybe instead of changing it he bin bags in the room everyday change the god damm sheets. The only good thing about this hostel was the location and the other people staying there.

我在首尔住过好几家青年旅舍。这家简直糟糕透了；工作人员似乎对蟑螂习以为常，完全无动于衷。淋浴间里居然有马桶和洗衣机，而且脏得令人难以置信。之后，我住进了一家更差的旅舍，价格不到这家的一半，但干净得多，我终于能睡个安稳觉了。即使你真的要去弘大出差，也有很多其他更便宜更干净的住宿选择。

我绝对不推荐这家。

I don’t understand the bad reviews about the staff and this place? It‘s so cheap, but it’s such a good value for money!!
We had the most amazing stay at Time Travelers party hostel. The rooms and amenties are simple, but the location is ideal and the people really makes it special. We had an issue, and therefore wasn’t really enjoying our that much in the beginning. However, we talked to Maka about it, and wauw! She handled it soooo well, we felt so understood and she was so professional. Not only is she super kind towards everyone and gather people, then she also showed that she is willing to go above and beyond to ensure the guest have a pleasant time. Thank you so much Maka 🫶🏼
All the other staff were nice as well!! And the location is perfect - close to hongdae, but away from the noise. We are definitely coming back one day to this exact hostel!

I mean…. It was probably one of the jankier hostels I’ve stayed in.
The bathrooms were horrible looking, felt like I was in a small village in the middle of nowhere in a building that’s 100 years old taking a shower. Atleast there was hot water. Everything about the bedding was dingy and uncomfortable. One word for this place, dingy. No much of a common area either. I wouldn’t stay here again.

i think the reason they call this time travelers is cuz you travel into time to when hostels were just shacks and didnt have any amenities. this place boasts of repulsive rooms with shags for a pillow and a clothing rod for your stuff. it’s extremely bare bones and i’m embarrassed to have stayed here. on top of that the staff is not friendly, and i have no idea why this is called a “party hostel”. there were no parties here.

the common room doesn’t even have a couch so not sure where these parties were planned to happen when no one could congregate anywhere

I don’t understand the 1 star reviews. I’m staying here right now, I’m on my 3rd night out of 4 booked. I’m in one of the 6 bed mixed dormitory as a solo female traveler. It’s exactly as expected for a cheap hostel. What do ppl want? The beds are clean, the shower is clean. The room is spacious, I’ve been in hostels more cramped than this. The location is great. Lots of cute cafes nearby, close to train and bus stations. Easy to find. Big convenience store with seating nearby as well. Quick food delivery if you want to order. I genuinely have no complaints.
