The Seoul House(Mapo)

We had an amazing stay at The Seoul House in Mapo! The house was perfect, clean, modern with some nice traditional touches, and equipped with absolutely everything we needed.

The location was super convenient and made getting around super easy, with great food, cafes, and attractions close by. It felt like a home away from home.

Ken was a wonderful host: warm, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations or anything we needed. On this trip he took us to the border, a Hanok Village for lunch, then KBS station and a wonderful BBQ dinner! Every time we come back to Seoul we feel like we’re visiting an old friend. We can’t wait to be back, highly recommended!

Ken is hands down the best host we have ever had! Not only did he make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond by taking us to the North - South border to the observatory, then drove another hour to Irin Iljan cafe where where we enjoyed a beautiful lunch overlooking the Hank Village, and even arranged a really cool tour at KBS (where his father used to be a cameraman). These amazing experiences made our trip unforgettable.

This is a great house for your stay in Seoul. The host is amazing and has tried to think of everything potential guests might need. I loved the location because it's set back from the main street and extremely quiet, it's close to the bus, subway, a large grocery store, and feels like a local neighborhood. If you need to do some work there is a large table, fast internet (350 Mbps x 45 Mbps), and a 4k TV with HDMI input. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. All rooms have air conditioning. There is also clothes washer and dryer and drying racks. I was here for a week and I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Seoul.

I have stayed at The Seoul House many times and most recently stayed at the Mapo House and I loved it! The house is beautiful and welcoming, has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and Ken is a perfect host. Having a home base is great when exploring Seoul and the Mapo House has convenient bus and metro access, walking distance from amazing restaurants and easy access to two different grocery stores to be able to make food at home if the mood strikes! We spent 2 weeks, and having laundry access and a refrigerator made everything so easy. We love everything about staying in The Seoul House and can’t wait to be back!

The Seoul House strikes all cords if you are looking for what it feels like home in Seoul. Excellent connection with 2 city subway lines, airport Arex as well as an express train line. Besides the house being the best home, my favourite would be having eMart and scores of super nice cafes within walking distances.

Lastly, Ken is a wonderful host. He goes all out to make you feel at home and you'll always wanna go back.
