Just a place to wash, sleep, and head to Hallasan the next day.
Considering the taxi fare to Hallasan,
it's a great value for money.
Easy to get to.

My own review: Pros: Cheap. Right next to the bus stop. Spacious bed, spacious room, even toothpaste provided. Blackout curtains are great, outlets at each bedside, plenty of hangers.

Cons: The common areas (living room, bathroom) are old (like an old training center). The shower room is small. The mattress springs feel hard. The staff are out and about until 1:30 a.m., so you can hear slippers and doors slamming in the hallways.

This is a great place to stay for those heading to Hallasan Mountain in Jeju Island. They offer free pickup service to Hallasan Mountain, with no return. While the facilities themselves are somewhat outdated, they're perfectly usable. As a typical hiking accommodation, it's perfect for a quick night's sleep. Electric blankets keep you warm, and snacks and water are provided for overnight stays. Seaweed soup is provided early in the morning, ensuring a warm meal before heading out. The staff is friendly. It's also a convenient place to pack up after returning from Hallasan Mountain.

I stayed here for equipment rentals and Hallasan pickup, but the facilities were really poor. The staff didn't know anything either. They were just disorganized, and even when serving guests, they had no clue, so they had to ask each other and teach each other. They weren't wearing masks properly, and it smelled like cigarettes. The soundproofing wasn't great, and the bathroom walls were moldy and dirty. The seaweed soup for breakfast was so salty I had to throw it away after just one sip. The soundproofing wasn't great either. It's on the third floor, but there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself. The location is good...

This place is run by young people with a kind heart, so it feels quite different from other guesthouses. From the shoes you have to take off to the fact that there's no trash can in the room, to the laundry service and post-hike showers, it's all reasonably priced and convenient. Because it's a shared bathroom and shower, families don't seem to frequent it, but when I went, it was mostly young people heading to Hallasan and solo hikers. It felt like a retreat, lol. The beds, however, are a bit uncomfortable, reminiscent of a retreat, so it's best to avoid that.
