It's very convenient, right in front of Exit 6 of Dongdaemun Station. It's an unmanned hotel where you check in with a PIN code. I didn't see anyone until I checked out, but the sounds of chatting and hair dryers from the rooms on either side of me were quite loud late at night. However, that was to be expected, and there are free earplugs in the hallway. It's very simple, and the room is clean and well-maintained. The blanket is thin, so I slept with my coat on. There's a shower in the toilet, but it's a sliding door, so the room gets wet. It's more comfortable to go to a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) or something similar.
Room is spacious and clean :) and the Staff(online) is attentive:) asked if i can check in early and he immediately replied thru whatsapp. There is a microwave where you can reheat your foods. Place is near dongdaemun station :)
Since there are no landmarks on Nevermap yet, I can't leave a review. Plus, Taiwanese people mostly use Google Maps, so I'm writing a review instead!
The location is very convenient. It's in the building next to the coffee shop on your left after exiting the elevator at Exit 6 of Dongdaemun (above Qiaocun Fried Chicken). You need to walk up a flight of stairs from the first floor to take the elevator, so I suggest not having heavy luggage, otherwise you won't be able to carry it.
They will provide the door code via app or email the night before. There's a common area to put your luggage after entering. Around noon, they will also provide the room number and code via app or email. Just wait until the designated time to enter. Check-in and check-out are entirely self-service. If you have any questions, they provide LINE or other channels to contact the host. I added them on LINE and had them translate into Korean to ask my questions; the response time was very fast!
The room was clean and provided toiletries, so I didn't need to bring my own. Slippers were also provided, and the charging stations had both USB and Type-C ports, which was very convenient. The only downside was the lack of underfloor heating, but the air conditioning was fine on a warmer setting. Many reviews mentioned poor soundproofing, and it was true that I could hear the neighbors opening and closing doors or talking loudly, but I was too tired and sleepy after a long day, so it wasn't a big issue for me. 🤣
October 25th. Located right next to the elevator at Exit 6 of Dongdaemun MRT Station, excellent location! 👍 The double room is very spacious; two large suitcases could be fully extended with room to walk around. However, when I checked other double rooms after check-out, I noticed that some had narrower hallways. 👍🏾 The room was clean and new, and basic amenities were provided. 👍 However, if you stay for several days and need to change towels or toilet paper, you'll have to wait until around noon for the cleaning staff to come and collect them. 🥲 There's a kitchen with a water dispenser, microwave, tableware, and a washer and dryer. 👍🏿 The partitions are just light wooden boards, so you can hear your neighbors talking too loudly. 🫢
This is an unmanned hotel with no front desk. There is no Wi-Fi. All information, including the room code, is communicated through the booking app.
There's a 24-hour chicken restaurant on the floor below, so it's quite noisy. The walls are thin, so you can hear voices and hair dryers from the next room. Rooms aren't cleaned even for extended stays.
The good point is that, being a new hotel, the room was clean.
The twin room was just big enough to open two suitcases. It's nice to be able to stay in a clean room at a low price.
