Yes the room is small but for the price you paid, it is a major win. Location is great on the insadong culture street. No frills, no staff manning onsite and asian-style wet bathroom. For asians, this is normal but for westerners, do adjust your expectation. I enjoyed my stay and will stay again in my continued love affair with Seoul. Thanks LifeInsa. I saw a lot of bad reviews about this place, which made me a bit nervous when I booked it, but it turned out to be pretty great.

There’s no elevator, so if you arrive before check-in time, you’ll have to carry your luggage up to the third floor yourself. But once I got into the room, I actually really liked it. The bed was big, and the space was perfect for one person. I had a window with curtains, and there was a private bathroom (though the toilet and shower weren’t separated)

The room had hot water, slippers, and a small fridge. There’s also a shared kitchen on the third floor with a sink, microwave, and a washing machine. The location is especially great for tourists.

I stayed here for three nights and enjoyed it, I’ve even recommended it to friends! However, if you’re expecting full service, this might not be the place for you, as there’s usually no staff around except during check-out time when they come to clean.

DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. Good location. Absolutely no customer service (literally no staff on site). Need to purchase power adapters for US electronics as the hostel only has korean outlets. Floor was a bit dirty (slippers were provided). No temperature control in the room. No curtains so the sun shines through at 6am. No separation of toilet from shower (not even a curtain). Don’t stay here unless you’re really desperate. Walls are paper thin between the tiny rooms and you can hear everything.

Overall, one of the worst experience in Seoul so far. While the size of the room is on the smaller size, the location is about 10 minutes walk to a few Metro stations.

The building has no elevator, so heavy luggage is gonna be a hassle. There’s no property support, which was the dealbreaker for me as i was unable to get warm water from my heater, resulting cold water during Seoul’s coldest winter outbreak. I highly won’t recommend this place and with the price I paid, while not much but there will surely still be options.

I honestly don’t understand why the average rating for this place is only 2.8 out of 5. Sure, the room is small...but what do you expect when you're paying just 20–30 dollars(or euros) for a stay in such a central location?

The bed is large and comfortable, with two soft pillows. There's plenty of space under the bed for storage. The bathroom is basic, but it does the job. The air conditioning works well, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and everything is spotlessly clean. You also can take a fresh towel every day in the hallway.

There’s a communal rooftop with tables, plus free access to both a washing machine and dryer...including free detergent! The location is unbeatable: all the major palaces and nightlife are within a 10–15 minute walk.

What more could you ask for?

Downsides: the room might feel too cramped for more than one person, depending on how much time you plan to spend inside...it really only fits the double bed.
And the one major drawback: there's NO CURTAIN on the window. If you’re sensitive to light, you’ll likely be waking up at 5AM during the summer.
