Toyoko Inn Seoul Gangnam

Definitely not the best.
Considered the price is pretty decent, but would not recommend, the area has plenty of options.
Rooms are small and gods sake the carpets and mattresses urgently need an upgrade, you can tell they are OLD
Bathrooms are very small, but the toilet seat is specially small, I’m 1.85 and there’s absolutely no way I’ll fit in there.
They offer complementary breakfast, but is very basic and oriental food, I did not enjoyed.
Also, the lift can get very crowded all day long.
Location is very convenient, but that would definitely be my only highlight, everything else are lowlights for me

Pros:
- Popular location
- Very clean and tidy
- My room's window opens to the main street with a wide open view of the city
- Friendly staff

Cons:
- rooms are small, though for short stays I didn't mind

When you make a booking, a single room strictly means one person only. You will get one bedsheet and one pillow. Normally, in other hotels, one room usually allows up to two guests, but that is not the case here.
The way the receptionist communicated during check-in felt more like a warning than a welcome, it honestly felt like checking into a dormitory. The room is a bit old, but the location in Gangnam is great. Overall, it’s okay, just be aware of these points before booking.

This inn has complete facilities, friendly front desk staff, and clean rooms. However, it's a bit of a disappointment in winter; the blankets are thin, and there's only air conditioning with heating but no central heating, plus the exhaust fan is noisy and can't be turned off at night. Check-out time is very early, around 10 AM the following Monday. Overall, neither of these two Toyoko Inns in Korea can compare to some of the ones in Japan.

Excellent hotel. Good price and good breakfast.
Staffs were kind and helpful.
