Toyoko Inn Busan Jungang station

The location is extremely convenient. You can easily catch buses to many places, and it’s only about 10 minutes from the KTX station. I traveled from Seoul to Busan and back to Seoul, and also visited Ulsan, so this hotel was a perfect base for my trip.

The price is very affordable. I was traveling solo and originally planned to book a capsule hotel, but during Christmas to New Year everything was fully booked. Luckily, I found this hotel on Agoda at a cheaper price than most of hotels I’ve stayed at in big cities in Vietnam and breakfast was included and breakfast was delicious 🥰

I stayed on the 11th floor and had a beautiful view. Housekeeping was provided once every three days. I felt so cozy

Check-in time is 3:00 pm. Because it was Christmas season, I couldn’t book a later KTX train — the 5:27 am departure was the only option available . I explored the city and returned at 2:45 pm to ask if early check-in was possible. The hotel was very busy due to the holiday so staff informed that I only could check-in at 3:30pm, but after I explained my situation, the staff kindly helped and allowed me to check in right at 3:00 pm. I really appreciated their support because I was extremely tired 🙏🏻

Busan is my favorite city in Korea so far, and I will definitely come back. I plan to return to hike more mountains in Busan and Ulsan and explore more beautiful nature spots 🏔️and I would happily stay at this hotel again.

Great value for money and very convenient for KTX travelers

Great value hotel, perfect for travelers who mainly need a comfortable place to sleep while exploring Busan.
The location is very convenient, with bus stops and train access right in front of the hotel, making sightseeing easy and hassle-free.
There is also a convenience store located next door, which is extremely handy.
Breakfast is served with traditional Korean dishes, and the fish cake is especially delicious.
The amenities are well provided, covering everything needed for daily use — even including a yukata (pajamas), which was a lovely touch.
Our room was on the 16th floor, offering a fantastic view of Busan Tower from the window. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Review of Toyoko Inn Busan Jungang

I booked two rooms: one double room and one room with two single beds. The free breakfast was a nice bonus. Since the hotel is in Busan, they served fish cake skewers at breakfast, which was a nice local touch. The curry was decent, and the coffee from the machine was strong and good.

The rooms are a bit small. The pillows were quite firm and not very comfortable, and the room felt very dry. There was a humidifier in the room, but it didn’t seem to help much.

One downside was that the sink in the double room drained very slowly. Also, the labels on the conditioner, shampoo, and body wash had all peeled off.

One good thing is that the price stays the same even during peak season.

This is the sixth Toyoko Inn location I’ve stayed at, and they haven’t let me down yet. The rooms are small, but they have everything you need. They’re clean, and there’s always staff available if you need anything. Everyone is friendly and accommodating, and the nightly price is hard to beat.
For this location in particular, it’s ideal if you don’t mind a bit of walking as a tourist. It’s right between two subway stations, but there are bus stops directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast was great as usual.

Standard cheap hotel in Busan. Perfect for just sleeping and a shower. Clean and comfortable but minimal and efficient. Their breakfast is great for the price point.

There's a few things that made me question the service standard:
1. I provided a booking number made through an OTA and staff mentioned they are unable to find it in the system. Then asked me to mention this again at check-in. If my reservation is not found, I need to solve this matter as soon as possible, and not wait until check-in isn't it?
2. Then I asked if I can book directly instead? I will then cancel the booking I made through that OTA. Staff replied that they are fully booked for my requested dates. This brings me back to point 1 when staff asked me to check my non-existent booking only at check-in.
3. Staff were not proactive to provide solutions. I had to ask for them to hold a room for me if a cancellation happens, then I will pay immediately. There was no response to my email.
4. Staff did not include their name in the email replies. Lack of personal touch and no accountable person that can assist me.
5. Once again, no response to my follow up emails.
