Seoul Olympic Parktel

Great location with the Olympic Park directly behind. This place has been newly renovated. Was packed due to a seminar so was busy. Lots of good parking. 5 minute walk to the restaurant and shop area.update; another night. Room is even better. The whole wall is 6 panes of curved glass over looking the park. Room is quite large worth super comfy beds.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was located right next to a park with lots of space for walking. We traveled via taxi for our entire trip, so I can't speak to subway walkability. The room was good and the bathroom was nice. The room never got super cold, even when the AC was on full blast. But everything was quiet.

The hotel breakfast buffet was amazing. (It was not free, but that was expected.) The staff was very kind and helpful, especially for those in our group who did not speak Korean.

The conference I was at made use of the Piano in the ballroom. It was out of tune, but they hotel called a piano tuner who came and tuned it over night for us.

I stayed at this hotel last weekend while visiting Seoul for a friend's wedding. I would like to express my special thanks to Mr. Suk Un Ho, who was on duty on the evening of Saturday, April 11. Because he speaks Mandarin, he was able to provide me with such kind and helpful assistance. He truly left me with a wonderful impression on my last night before returning home. Thank you!

Olympic Park Tel is located somewhat far from central attractions, but it offers a lovely park setting with running paths, art sculptures and rose gardens. The rooms have stunning park and skyline views through huge windows, and feature a bathtub with jets— adding a touch of luxury.

The hotel has an on-site restaurant with a breakfast buffet, and a convenient basement hangout area that includes a self-check convenience store, hot water, microwave —open 24 hours, which is very convenient for late-night snacks.There is a smoking area, though it’s quite cramped and lacks benches.

Note that there is no gym or pool available at this hotel, which might be a consideration depending on your preferences.

Regarding the rooms, while the lighting and overall aesthetic feel luxurious and well-designed, the bedding was not particularly comfortable; instead of sheets, the rooms had old crunchy unusual blankets that were not very pleasant to sleep on. Mattress not very comfortable.

The coffee served in the cafe was overpriced and not very great. On the positive side, the staff were helpful and attentive. Weddings and events are frequently held here, on weekends which results in crowded lobbies and busy elevators. Overall, Olympic Park Tel offers a unique and aesthetically pleasing stay. It’s a solid choice if you prioritize location near the park or but it’s a 1.5 hrs train to most of the nightlife and other attractions. For the price point, I wasn’t very impressed.
