Hilton Garden Inn Seoul Gangnam

I recently stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Seoul Gangnam and overall it was a good stay, but with a few points worth mentioning.

I arrived quite late, around 11pm, and unfortunately food options were basically zero at that time as everything nearby was closed. The hotel does have a small shop in the lobby for basic items, which is helpful, but don’t expect proper meal options if you arrive late at night.

That being said, the hotel itself looks amazing. The property is modern, clean, and very well maintained. My room was superb spotless, comfortable, and exactly what I’ve come to expect from Hilton Garden Inn. I’ve always been impressed with this brand, and in terms of the room and facilities, this one definitely delivered.

However, the check-in experience was not the best. A supervisor handled my check-in, but as a Diamond member, I didn’t receive the warm welcome I’m used to. I wasn’t thanked for my loyalty, which was disappointing, and there was a small dispute regarding my card details even though the room had already been paid in advance. It just didn’t feel smooth or particularly welcoming. Service with a smile really does go a long way, especially after a long day of travel.

Breakfast, on the other hand, was more than average and I genuinely enjoyed it. There was a good selection, everything was fresh, and the breakfast staff were great friendly, attentive, and professional. They definitely helped end the stay on a positive note.

Overall, a beautiful hotel with excellent rooms and a strong breakfast offering. I just hope the front desk experience can match the quality of the rest of the stay next time.

Love this prime location with train/metro right in front of hotel. 1 stop from Gangnam station. Rooms are clean w large bathrooms & sound-proof windows which open for fresh air. Grand breakfast buffet offers various western/eastern selections, laundry/gym included. Will definitely stay here next trip.

I stayed there a month ago for our family trip. Check in experience was great with a kind and helpful manner. Ms. Park K. was very kindly assisting us and satisfied our needs allocating 3 rooms.
Room was spacious(suites), bedding was clean and mattress was comfortable. There was a window with screen door to open to refresh air which I think important. Hotel breakfast had a nice combination of Western and traditional Korean food and the Americano choice of coffee machine was good.
Subway station was nearby only a couple of minutes walk away. Nice and safe locations. Great value for the price!

Excellent hotel in the southern part of Gangnam/Seocho area. 2 minute walk from Yangjae station and close to a lot of attractions (mainly Gangnam shopping district and Seoul Arts Centre). Overall hotel experience was excellent. Rooms are not the largest but were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Sound-proofing was very good considering it’s on one of the busiest streets in Seoul. Staff is friendly and all speak English quite well for foreign guests. Breakfast is excellent and all the common areas are in good condition.

3 mins to MTR, 2 mins to bus station 🚉 you can take the airport bus directly!

I love the location, the hotel staff, the service, the shower, the bathroom, the color scheme, and the breakfast. I also love that there’s a spa and a BBQ restaurant within walking distance. Plus, I love the 김밥 place next to the hotel🥳 one of the best team in Asia! Love the room, location, and the environment a lot! A clean and gentle detergent keeps bed sheets and quilts fresh, making sleep very comfortable.
Also the wifi is super fast!

I think it’s a five star hotel that has been underestimated. Location, service, cleanliness, warm welcome, problem solving , perfect lighting control, and food are all beyond other 5 star hotels.

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Seoul was truly one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of our lives.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, kindness, and genuine care. Gwen was the first person we met at the front desk, and she immediately made us feel at home. Her smile, professionalism, and sincere desire to help made a lasting impression on us. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect and that we felt comfortable, valued, and cared for throughout our stay.

I traveled to Seoul with my best friend, Vilma, for what had long been on my bucket list. Recently, I was diagnosed with ALS, and traveling has become very difficult. This trip was incredibly meaningful to me, and because of the kindness and support we received from the staff, it became even more special than I could have imagined.

Sara and Gwen were exceptional in every way. Their kindness was not simply customer service—it came from the heart. They treated us with patience, compassion, respect, and genuine warmth. Every time we saw them, they made us feel welcomed, safe, and cared for. They have a gift for making people feel at home, even when they are thousands of miles away from their own homes.

The breakfast was absolutely spectacular. Every morning was a delight. We enjoyed trying dishes from the Korean menu as well as the Western and American selections. Everything was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with great care. It became one of our favorite parts of each day.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Valet Parking team. Because I use an electric wheelchair, arriving and leaving the hotel required extra assistance, and they were always there with a smile, ready to help. Every member of the valet team treated us with kindness, patience, professionalism, and genuine care. They helped make every departure and return smooth and stress-free. No matter the time of day, they welcomed us warmly and made us feel valued and supported. Their outstanding service was an important part of what made our stay so memorable.

During our trip, we visited four different locations throughout Korea and met many wonderful people. However, the Hilton Garden Inn Seoul was truly the winner among winners. The level of hospitality, professionalism, kindness, and genuine care we received here was beyond anything we expected.

This journey fulfilled a lifelong dream. Traveling with ALS is not easy, and there were many moments when simple things became challenging. Yet your team made everything easier. You gave us comfort, confidence, and the feeling that we were not alone. Those gifts are priceless.

To Sara and Gwen, I want to say something from the bottom of my heart: thank you. Thank you for your kindness, your smiles, your patience, and your beautiful spirits. Please know that you make a difference in people's lives. I wish both of you a long, healthy, joyful, and fulfilling life. May all your dreams come true. If you want to travel, travel.
