During my 6-day trip to Korea, I had to book a king bed because there were no double beds available. When checking in, I mentioned that sharing a bed with my grown son might be uncomfortable. The female receptionist smiled and gave us a free upgrade to a room with two beds. Every time we went out and came back, they greeted us so warmly, making our stay incredibly comfortable. I’ve stayed at many hotels in various countries recently for work, but I will never forget this exceptional kindness for a very long time
Would not recommend this hotel, though I’ll try to be as fair as possible.
The location is good, conveniently close to a subway station, a variety of restaurants, and Parliament House, which makes getting around quite easy.
The beds are very comfortable, with a good size, supportive mattress, and nice pillows. The facilities are reasonable.
However, the soundproofing is extremely poor and is a major downfall to this hotel. You can clearly hear heavy footsteps from the floor above, as well as noise from the corridor and neighbouring rooms. This was especially frustrating at night, and even more difficult with an infant.
Another major issue was the air conditioning. The room temperature cannot be adjusted, leaving the room feeling hot, stuffy, and humid. The only solution offered by staff was to open the window, which then lets in loud traffic noise from outside as Youido is a very busy area.
Overall, while the location is convenient, the lack of soundproofing and poor climate control made the stay very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
GLAD Hotel Yeouido is a well-executed design-led business hotel that delivers strong value through location efficiency, consistent quality, and thoughtful room design. Positioned in Seoul’s financial district, it offers excellent transport connectivity and high operational standards, though it lacks the vibrancy of core tourist hubs.
A highly reliable and well-positioned hotel for business and repeat travelers. While not the most exciting base for sightseeing, it delivers excellent value, comfort, and connectivity, making it a strong choice when location priorities align. I stayed at 2 Yeouido hotels and this is clearly the better option.
Spent 6 nights here. Location wise, if you rely on the subway to get around, it is perfect. It's right next to the National Assembly subway station. But it is quite a distance from Myeongdong, and requires line transfers, so be prepared to spend some time commuting.
It was cold weather when we were there, so the AC is not turned on. Upon check in, the reception told us this, and said to open the window to let the cold air in. This works fine, but the noise from the street may bother you. We were on the 10th floor, and the noise can be loud at times.
The bed and pillow in my opinion was perfect. I usually take time to get used to hotel beds, but had no problems here. Slept like a baby every night.
There's are some convenience stores a short walk from the hotel. Coffee places aplenty.
If you're looking for somewhere away from the loud and chaotic scene, this would be good. Just be mindful of the commuting time.
Stayed at GLAD Hotel Yeouido and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location is very convenient.
What I liked the most was the breakfast—it was really good with a nice variety of options.
Overall, a comfortable stay and definitely worth it.
