This was our fourth stay at Andaz Seoul Gangnam, and once again it was a wonderful experience. We arrived at the hotel around 8 a.m., and the front desk staff warmly welcomed us. Although our suite wasn’t immediately available due to many guests requesting late check-out, they kindly offered us a room to rest in until the suite became available around 4 p.m., which we truly appreciated.
We stayed on the 15th floor this time, and as always, the room was clean, bright, and very comfortable. We stayed for six nights, and housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay—everything was consistently spotless. The only small downside was that the room felt quite dry; it would be great if a humidifier were provided in the room.
The service at the restaurant really stood out. The staff remembered us from previous stays and, when possible, seated us at the same table, which made us feel very comfortable and well cared for. The bar was also a highlight, with great happy hour deals—especially the soju cocktails, which were excellent.
The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the subway and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars. Overall, Andaz Seoul Gangnam continues to impress us with its service, comfort, and convenience. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back again.
Pretty consistent with other Andaz. The room is spacious and well decorated. I like how simple it is while being convenient. The location is central but it’s a bit too noisy and too busy for me. The service is always top.
The gym is too small though.
Andaz is one of the best Hyatt properties in Seoul. The location can’t be beat - right on top of the subway and you can really travel anywhere within 30min.
Rooms are spacious and well-designed. I upgraded to a suite this trip but their regular rooms are just as good (desk/workspace is spacious). There’s also a really nice air purifier. Spa/hot bath/sauna area is a plus.
Breakfast has a large variety of healthy ingredients. They also have a good value lunch set.
I had a wonderful time during my visit to Korea from February 27th to March 10th—thank you so much! Even after returning to New York, I found myself missing it from time to time, thinking back on the hot soup, rice, and delicious food I enjoyed every morning.
A special thank you goes to Peter and Paul and Joshua—my daughter's and my favorite hotel staff members.
The breakfast at this hotel is truly the best among all Hyatt properties, and the servers treat you with a warmth that feels just like family. (During my 11 day stay at the hotel, I ate a hearty breakfast eight times )
My daughter and I stayed in the very last room on the top floor, and it was incredibly comfortable.
I miss it already! I’ll definitely be back, so please look forward to seeing me again!
Oh, and my daughter mentioned that her swimming lesson was fun, too—though 100,000 won for just one hour is a bit pricey! ( Even so, she received it five times—Angry Mom.-_-; haha )
* This hotel's greatest strength lies in the warm service and relaxed, down-to-earth demeanor of its young staff. Thank you, Paul, your breakfasts were truly the best! I looked forward to every morning. Peter—for gifting my daughter a teddy bear dressed in a Korean Hanbok and for seeing my mother off after her visit to the hotel. And thank you, Joshua—for seeing me all the way to my taxi as I departed for the airport.
** Thank you, Josh, for providing a room that perfectly reflected my needs. I was also deeply touched by the warm breakfast you prepared for me after I arrived in Korea on an early-morning flight.
*** That sentiment makes me want to stay in Korea even longer.
I had a great stay at Andaz Gangnam. I liked having easy access to the train station and many restaurants.
The breakfast here is solid. But above all else, the staff is incredible and go the extra mile. For example, Jaden Kim at breakfast went out of his way to ensure my wife was able to eat with her dietary restrictions. We stay at many high-end Hyatt's and other hotels and it's always frustrating when I can eat and she can't and the hotel can't or won't accommodate. However, Jaden made sure every meal was prepared properly, she had multiple options to choose from, and he did it without making it feel like a burden. When my wife can't eat at the hotel, we usually have to go out find her breakfast after mine, which is annoying and makes the Globalist breakfast useless for her. However, thanks to Jaden, this was NOT the case. He even made sure she had the proper food on his day off. He single-handed made the biggest difference in our stay.
The housekeeping staff, front desk, and everyone else I interacted with was very pleasant.
The hotel is located in a newer, modern part of the city with so many great restaurants, cafés, and shopping options both inside and around the area. The property itself feels very upscale and contemporary, with sleek, stylish room designs that were both comfortable and impressive. Everything felt clean, polished, and thoughtfully designed. The breakfast buffet was also excellent with a wide variety of options and a great spread each morning. As a Hyatt Globalist, I truly felt valued throughout the stay. The staff was incredibly genuine and welcoming from the moment we arrived, making every effort to check us in early which was greatly appreciated after traveling. We were also given drink tickets, a thoughtful welcome gift, and even special anniversary gifts that made our celebration feel extra memorable.
The Andaz lives up to its reputation. Its hip and bright design was a fun experience, and the free soft drinks and snacks were a bonus.
The location is excellent, and once again, don’t listen to google, you can directly enter the hotel from the little shopping mall in the station next to the exit. I believe the elevator is next to a flower shop.
The hotel itself has a Blue Bottle attached and a perfume? shop.
During my stay, there was an event going on, so I have the impression of it being a party hotel, but I don’t know if that’s how it normally is.
The shops around the hotel are extensive, there’s a supermarket a few blocks down and of course, a couple Olive Youngs and numerous cafes. Exploring Apgujeong at night is a nice experience, with all the interesting architecture.
The Andaz was also a particularly good deal since I booked with points. The normal King room’s design is a bit interesting, could be a bit more space-efficient but oh well.
All in all, it was a nice stay.
