Urbanstay Incheon Chinatown

I recently stayed at Hillstate Harbor House Stay, and while the apartment has some strong points, the overall experience was frustrating.

Pros:
- Comfortable Bed: Great for a good night’s sleep.
- Well-Equipped Kitchen: Espresso maker, kitchenware, and an oven (though no oven-proof dishes).
- Modern Bathroom: Deep bathtub with plenty of hot water.
- Convenience Store Nearby: Handy for grabbing essentials.

Cons:
- Dirty Windows & Unpleasant View: The large window lets in light, but the grime obscures the view of a scrapyard and industrial zone.
- Uninviting Industrial Surroundings: Heavy truck traffic and warehouses dominate the area, there’s no appeal for visitors looking for well-connected public transportation, cafes, restaurants or a pleasant atmosphere.
- TV Issues: Large screen but no English instructions, and logging into services was impossible.
- Bathroom Design Flaw: No shower curtain or door, leaving the entire bathroom soaked.
- Erratic Electrical System: Lights and outlets often fail to respond to switches, requiring frequent resets.
- Inconsistent Wi-Fi & Security Risks: Open network with frequent disconnections, making it unreliable for work.

Check-In & Customer Service Issues
- Incomplete Address Provided: Had to contact customer service to get the correct location.
- Convoluted Check-In Process: Requires logging into a glitchy system that didn’t recognize my reservation. Multiple attempts and unhelpful support made it needlessly complicated.
- Delayed Access Codes: Took 24 hours to receive an elevator code, forcing me to follow others inside.

Lack of Guest-Friendly Services
- Confusing & Poorly Translated Rules: Truncated sentences make the documents unreadable.
- No English Instructions for Appliances: Makes simple tasks unnecessarily difficult for non-Korean speakers.
- Minimal Amenities & Extra Charges:
Check-in is very late at 4 p.m. Early check-in comes with steep fees.
- Sparse supplies: Two small water bottles and two coffee capsules, everything else is on you.
- No cleaning service, even for longer stays. I was told to buy garbage bags and take my own trash to the basement!!!
- Their so-called "guest service" document is just more rules and a list of fees for everything extra.

The most ridiculous and frankly offensive part of their guest information states: "To respect your privacy and enhance your comfort, room cleaning service is not provided during your stay."
This perfectly sums up their approach: zero service, minimal effort, and a cost-cutting decision disguised as a feature.

Final Verdict:
Hillstate Harbor House Stay may provide a functional space, but it fails at hospitality. Poor service, impractical check-in, and unreliable amenities make it frustrating.

If you need just a place to sleep and don’t mind hassles, it might work. However, if you expect basic service, reliable internet, or an easy check-in, avoid this place.

Please note that this hotel is not located near Chinatown. It's a good idea to check the location on the map before making your choice. There is no infrastructure around this location and NO REFUND after you pay.

We stayed at UrbanStay Incheon Chinatown for 2 nights and our experience was spot on. We arrived at destination quite late in the evening since it was our first day in South Korea. The customer support promptly replied to our questions and they were very welcoming and helped us with the car registration for the parking which is free in the building.

Our room was very clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. The mattress was really comfortable and overall it was very quiet at night. Also the shower was very spacious in relation to the size of the room which was a nice surprise.

Definitely an accomodation I would recommend 100%

This Place is very far from the city centre
The room was decent, slightly overpriced though. However, the only plus point is that it has a kitchennette. Rest if you want to explore seoul or nearby places. Its very far. Even from the airport. Plus there is no staff to help you with checkin. Self checkin is very confusing.

The signal is poor when I’m scanning QR code their self Check in so I just decided to change place and not a good location..
